Wang Ling was born in October 1945 in Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province. He went to Hong Kong with his parents when he was five years old. He studied in a Catholic school, then joined the southern experimental troupe. After graduating in 1964, he went to Taiwan to join the League of nations and became a basic actor. Together with Jiang Qing, Zhen Zhen, Niu Fangyu and Li Denghui, he became known as the "five phoenixes of the League of nations". At the end of 1964, he was recommended to Tokyo Art College for further study for half a year. After returning in 1965, he starred in "dodder flower" and other films. The League of Nations later filmed in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and then stopped filming. His main works are "several sunsets" (1966), "young women's book" (1968), "love you and hate you" (1975), etc.
