Character evaluation
Among the contemporary film directors, Xie Tieli is a director with broad vision, rich self-restraint and diverse techniques. He can not only reproduce the dramatic social changes, show the great historical changes, but also approach the characters, reveal the profound changes in their inner world, and accurately and delicately depict the human world. His rich artistic self-cultivation enabled him to understand and adapt to a variety of styles. At the same time, he is a realist. He strives to make the characters, plots, environment and even details of his works conform to the original life. In pursuit of the unity of style, we can't just focus on style. His basic idea is to start from the character's character, and pay attention to organizing the plot according to the logic of the character's character and the logic of the development of objective things.
