Yang Ming is a member of the Hessian government of Germany, one of the top ten outstanding young people in Europe, and a leading figure in science and technology in China in 2009. He has long been committed to business, technology and cultural cooperation and exchange between China and Europe. He has been the vice president of all German Chinese Federation, vice president of European Chinese Federation, honorary president of German Beijing Federation, overseas consultant of Beijing Foreign Affairs Office, etc.

In November 2020, he became a member of the presidium of the European Economic Senate and was elected vice president with a high vote.
In 2010, he led the Chinese electoral college and won a seat in the parliament of Hessian state government. This is also the first time that Chinese people have entered the German Parliament. In 2016, Mr. Yang Ming, who was elected as a member of the foreign Counsellor's Council of Hessian, Germany, took the lead in setting up a working group on promoting Chinese as a compulsory elective foreign language course in middle schools of Hessian in order to improve the status of Chinese in hessian and better promote cultural exchanges between China and Germany. The working group held a meeting to discuss and exchange the relevant work of "promoting Chinese as a compulsory foreign language course in hessian high school first". The group prepared relevant written application materials and reports on teaching materials, students, teachers and other issues, and provided them to relevant responsible agencies of Frankfurt Education Bureau and Hessian Ministry of education to communicate with relevant approval agencies for "Chinese as an elective foreign language course in hessian middle school". This move will contribute to the early realization of Chinese entering the German education system.
In November 2020, Mr. Yang Ming became a member of the presidium of the European Economic Senate and was elected vice president with a high vote. He will be mainly responsible for economic affairs with China.
