Synopsis

In the early 1930s, bandits were rampant in Gaomi area of Shandong Province, and the people were in dire straits. Jiu'er, a 19-year-old daughter of the owner of the Northeast Village, was promised by her greedy father to Shan bianlang, the son of the owner of the leprosy wine shop. Yu Zhanao, the powerful man of Kong Wu, liked jiu'er and killed Shan's father and son. Jiu'er and Yu Zhanao started a love affair that was not recognized by the villagers and had two children.
