Shi Yin, born in July 1951, received a doctor's degree from the Institute of semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1986 and a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1996. He has been engaged in the research of new high-speed circuits for a long time. As a main member, he has won two second prizes of science and technology progress of Chinese Academy of Sciences, one third prize of National Invention Award, one third prize of Guanghua fund individual award and one Beijing Science and technology progress award. Five national invention patents have been applied and two have been authorized.. It has undertaken a number of scientific research projects such as national 863, National Natural Science Foundation of China and Institute of semiconductor, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In 2012, in the laboratory of semiconductor artificial neural network and high speed circuit, Institute of semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the main research direction is research on high performance digital analog hybrid circuits and their system integration and design methodology. It has undertaken a number of scientific research projects such as national 863, National Natural Science Foundation of China and Institute of semiconductor, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
