Xiang Zuhua
Xiang Zuhua is a famous dulcimer performer, composer and music educator, vice chairman of the international dulcimer society, Professor of China Conservatory of music, executive director of China National Orchestra Society, member of the art group evaluation committee of the Ministry of culture, art director of Japanese Chinese Orchestra and honorary consultant of Hong Kong dulcimer Association.
Personage introduction
Professor Xiang was born in Suzhou music family. He studied dulcimer, erhu and other musical instruments when he was a child. He studied under Ren meichu, the Jiangnan Silk and bamboo master, and Lu Xiutang, the master of folk music. In the 1940s, Wei Zhongle, Lu Xiutang, Yang Yinliu and other folk music masters actively performed in Jiangsu and Shanghai, showing their talents and receiving high praise. In the 1950s, he was transferred to Shanghai National Orchestra and served as Yangqin tutor of Shanghai Conservatory of music. In the 1960s, he applied for teaching in China Conservatory of music and Central Conservatory of music.
Professor Xiang Zuhua is the first dulcimer artist of new China and the first master tutor of dulcimer. In his half century dulcimer art career, he has made outstanding contributions to the inheritance, inheritance and development of dulcimer music. He excels in Jiangnan Silk and bamboo music and Guangdong Yangqin music. He is inclusive and innovative. He has enriched the expressive force of Yangqin and formed his own artistic style of "meticulous, changeable, flexible and meaningful".
His dulcimer performance, composition and works are the first winners in the national music competition. He has composed and adapted nearly 100 Yangqin and folk music works at home and abroad in ancient and modern times, such as the large Yangqin suite "national soul chapter": Qu Yuan's sacrifice to the river, Su Wu's sheep raising, Zhao Jun's peace and fan, Lin Chong's night running; Yangqin suite "Fangji chapter": spring, orchid, summer, lotus, autumn, chrysanthemum, winter, plum; Yangqin Concerto "sound poem of the Strait" (three movements), "bamboo forest Yongcui" and "silk" A glimpse of the road, Tanci 36, etc. Many of the albums have been made into CDs and circulated at home and abroad.
He has also published many books, such as "dulcimer playing skills" (won the first prize of teaching achievements in Colleges and universities), "selected traditional solo works of national musical instruments - dulcimer album", "Xiang Zuhua's dulcimer works collection", "Xiang Zuhua's dulcimer course VCD", "national dulcimer examination collection", etc., and has published dozens of papers at home and abroad, which has senior academic value and social influence.
Over the years, he has trained a large number of professional dulcimer teachers and performers, and dozens of them have won awards in music competitions at home and abroad.
He has visited dozens of countries in Europe, America and Asia for many times, giving lectures and performances, which are very popular and appreciated. In 1991, he was invited to attend the first world dulcimer conference in Hungary and was elected vice president of the international dulcimer society. In 1993 and 1997, he participated in the second and fourth world dulcimer conference and German international dulcimer festival held in Czech Republic and Belarus, and performed successfully again. It is known as "a master of dulcimer art integrating performance, creation, teaching and scientific research" and "a unique school for Chinese dulcimer art, going to the world, founding a school and making great contributions".
Because of his great contribution to China's cultural and artistic undertakings, he won the State Council's commendation and national award. It has been listed as "world music celebrity" by Cambridge International celebrity biography center, and "international outstanding artist" by the American International Center for distinguished persons, as well as "dictionary of contemporary Chinese literary and art celebrities" And so on.
