Entry denied
In November 2014, South Korean singer Li Chengzhe recently entered Japan and was detained at the airport. Li Chengzhe said that the Japanese side retaliated against Li Chengzhe's landing on Dokdo (Japanese Name: Takeshima) to sing a unified song and a series of public opinions related to it, with a strong purpose.
On the morning of the 9th, Li Chengzhe took a flight to Japan at the invitation of Japanese friends. After arriving at Haneda airport, he was detained by the Japanese side for four hours at the immigration control office for "inexplicable" reasons. The explanation given by the staff of the Japanese exit entry administration office is "because of the recent appearance in the media", and Li Chengzhe's wife was detained without any justifiable reason. When he was detained, Li Chengzhe strongly denounced the improper handling by the Japanese customs, but the other party suddenly changed the topic, tried to hide the problems related to Dokdo, and even mentioned the old story of Li Chengzhe smoking marijuana more than 20 years ago. However, Li Chengzhe visited Japan 15 times in the 20 years after the incident and held a concert in Japan in early 2000. His activities in Japan were not restricted. However, after landing on Dokdo and making unified remarks, Li Chengzhe was refused entry, which was regarded as Japan's "silent warning".
Li Chengzhe once boarded Dokdo the day before the "recovery day" in South Korea (August 14) and released the song "that day" to pray for the reunification of South Korea and held a live concert. His series of unified remarks have attracted wide attention of public opinion both inside and outside South Korea.
As for the refusal of this entry, Li Chengzhe said, "this is a purposeful act of retaliation by Japan. If Japan tries to obstruct us in this way from exercising our legitimate rights over its own territory, we will never give in. Even if it is refused again, we will actively deal with it and fight against this kind of improper act to the end.".
