Zhao Jiwei
Zhao Jiwei, male, born on August 25, 1995 in Haicheng City, Anshan City, Liaoning Province, is a Chinese professional basketball player. He is a point guard and plays for the CBA Liaoning Shenyang Sansheng Flying Leopard basketball club.
In 2013, Zhao Jiwei began his CBA career. In 2014, Zhao Jiwei was selected into the national training team. In 2015, Zhao Jiwei was selected into the national team to help the national team win the 2015 Asian men's basketball championship. In the 2017-18 season, Zhao Jiwei won the 2017-2018 CBA League Championship with Liaoning Benxi steel.
Early experience
In 1995, Zhao Jiwei was born into a military family. At the age of 10, he entered amateur sports school and began to practice. At the age of 13, he entered Liaoning Province junior sports school. Zhao Jiwei, with his solid basic skills and excellent insight, entered the liaoshao team and liaoqing team one after another.

In October 2013, Zhao Jiwei came out of U18 echelon and signed a professional contract with Liaoning Hengye Feibao basketball club, becoming a member of Liaoning men's basketball team in the new season. On December 13, in the match against Xinjiang team, Zhao Jiwei ushered in the longest 30 minutes of playing time since the league, broke his scoring shortage and got the third highest 10 points of the whole team. In January 2014, Zhao Jiwei participated in the CBA all star challenge and skills competition. In Xingrui challenge, Zhao Jiwei contributed 10 points and also sent out the most 6 assists in the game. Zhao Jiwei won the second place in the all star skills competition in 28.5 seconds. In his first season, Zhao Jiwei played 32 games for the team, averaging 13.5 minutes per game, contributing 3.2 points, 1.1 assists and 1 rebound. In the second round of the playoffs with Xinjiang team, Zhao Jiwei played 32.2 minutes, scoring 13 points and 5 assists in the whole game, breaking the new record of individual CBA career single game scoring, but also equating the record of individual CBA career single game assists.
The 2014-15 season is Zhao Jiwei's second. However, due to many excellent guards of Liaoning team, Zhao Jiwei does not have many opportunities to play. On December 21, 2014, in Liaoning's victory over Chongqing, Zhao Jiwei scored 10 points, 7 assists and 3 steals, setting a career high. On January 17, Zhao Jiwei started the CBA all star challenge on behalf of the North Star team, contributing 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. At the end of the season, Zhao Jiwei won the second place in the CBA league with the team. Zhao Jiwei contributed 3.2 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in the average 13.2 minutes, with a 2-point shooting rate of 54%.
On November 22, 2015, Zhao Jiwei suffered a recurrence of shoulder injury in the match against Shanxi. After successful surgery, confirm the whole season reimbursement. In the 2015-16 season, Zhao Jiwei only played three times with injuries, contributing 2.3 points and 0.7 steals in an average of 7.0 minutes.
On October 30, 2016, Liaoning team beat Tongxi 115-100 in the away game, making a good start to the 2016-17 season. Zhao Jiwei played 40 minutes and 15 seconds, scored 19 points and 7 assists, creating the highest score in his career. On November 9, Liaoning team narrowly beat Shenzhen team 113-109 away. Zhao Jiwei started 39 minutes and 10 seconds, scored 8 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, of which 7 rebounds were career high. On November 20, Zhao Jiwei started 28 minutes and 39 seconds, made 3 of 8 shots, contributed 10 points and 10 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals, which was the first time Zhao Jiwei scored double doubles in his career. It is worth mentioning that Zhao Jiwei's 4 steals, 7 rebounds and 10 assists in this game equaled the highest single game in his career. On December 4, Liaoning team lost 93-95 to Shandong team in the away game. Zhao Jiwei contributed 12 points, 6 assists and 5 steals, of which 5 steals were career high. On January 4, 2017, Liaoning lost to Jilin 109-113 on the road. Zhao Jiwei scored 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists, eight of which were career highs. On February 9, Liaoning beat Shandong 101-93 at home. Zhao Jiwei scored 7-for-13 shots in 31 minutes and 35 seconds, contributing 18 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals, of which 10 assists and 5 steals equaled his career record. On March 19, Zhao Jiwei scored 16 points and 12 assists in the semi-final G5 match between Liaoning team and Xinjiang team, hitting the most five three-point goals in a single game in his career. Prior to this, Zhao Jiwei career single game maximum assists for 10 times. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time in Zhao Jiwei's career that he has scored double doubles in two consecutive games.
In April 2018, Liaoning Benxi Iron and steel team swept Zhejiang Guangxia team 4-0 in the finals and won the first CBA championship in team history.
On August 7, 2019, Zhao Jiwei and Liaoning Hengrun Feibao basketball club formally renewed their work contract. After the registration materials are submitted to CBA company and approved by audit and publicity, Zhao Jiwei will officially become a registered player of the club and play in the 2019-2020 season cba league on behalf of Liaoning Benxi steel.
Zhao Jiwei was selected as the best lineup in the second season with 3.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists.
In 2020-21 season, Zhao Jiwei won the CBA player of the month for his outstanding performance.
On February 26, 2021, Zhao Jiwei was selected into the starting lineup of the North Star team of the 2021 CBA all star game.
On March 1, 2021, the Liaoning team today's third phase of the first game ushered in the Fujian duel. In the final game, Zhao Jiwei made 11 of 22 shots, including 3 points, 16 shots and 8, scoring a career high of 37 points and 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.
On March 28, 2021, Liaoning team beat the North control team 91-85 away. Zhao Jiwei scored 13 points, 1 rebounds and 17 assists in 5 of 12 shots, which not only set the highest record of single game assists for all players in the season, but also set a new record for his single game assists career.
National team experience
In February 2011, China won the U16 Turkey International Invitational championship, and Zhao Jiwei won the best point guard. This is the first best point guard in the history of Chinese men's basketball international competition. In October 2011, Zhao Jiwei contributed 6 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 8 blocks to help China U16 national youth team win the championship.
In June 2012, in the U17 World Youth Championship, China won the seventh place with a record of 4-4. Zhao Jiwei played 8 games, averaging 12.8 points, 4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.9 steals, among which the number of steals ranked first among all players.
In June 2013, in the U19 World Youth Championship, Zhao Jiwei played nine games, averaging 24.7 minutes, contributing 9.3 points, 3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals.
In February 2014, Zhao Jiwei was selected into the list of the second batch of national training teams.
In May 2015, Zhao Jiwei was called up by the national first team for the first time, and he is also the youngest player in the current national training team. In September 2015, in the Asian men's basketball championship, Zhao Jiwei averaged 4.7 points and 2.8 assists, ranking second in the team. This year's Asian championship is the first time that he was selected into the national team and participated as a key player, and helped the team win the Asian championship again four years later.

In 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Zhao Jiwei averaged 19.6 minutes in four group games, contributing 2.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Zhao Jiwei was injured in his left thigh in the match against Australia and missed the last match against Serbia.
On August 6, 2018, Zhao Jiwei was selected into the list of Chinese sports delegation for the 18th Asian Games; on August 9, he missed the Asian Games due to a fracture in his left foot.
