Chen Guangbiao
Chen Guangbiao was born in tianganghu Township, Sihong County, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province in 1968. His ancestral home is Wuhe County, Anhui Province. He graduated from Nanjing University of traditional Chinese medicine and Nanjing University. He is a Chinese entrepreneur, philanthropist, member of China Zhi Gong Party, and director of Jiangsu Huangpu renewable resources utilization Co., Ltd.
In 1998, he started charity at the age of 30. As of July 17, 2012, his total donation has exceeded 2 billion, helping more than 700000 destitute families. After the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, Wen Jiabao, the former premier of the State Council, immediately contributed money to disaster relief. He was called "an entrepreneur with conscience, feelings and heart for the disaster area" by Wen Jiabao, and was elected as a national model for earthquake relief, known as "China's best".
For his outstanding contributions to economic construction and charity, Chen Guangbiao was jointly awarded the title of "national model of earthquake relief hero" by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission. He was awarded the "National May 1st Labor Medal" by the all China Federation of trade unions, and won the "China Charity Award" for four consecutive years. In December 2008, he was awarded the "special contribution award of China Charity Award". In September 2010, Chen Guangbiao announced that he would donate all his property after his death (as of 2010, Chen Guangbiao had a total assets of about 5 billion yuan). On September 9, Chen Guangbiao accepted a letter of appointment from fan Baojun, President of China Charity Association, in Beijing, and was appointed as vice president of China Charity Association.
In March 2015, Chen Guangbiao admitted that the "ice bucket challenge" was fake, and under the floating ice was 50 degrees hot water.
On the evening of March 30, 2016, Chen Guangbiao, chairman of Jiangsu Huangpu renewable resources utilization Co., Ltd., known as "the best in China", was arrested for fraud. Childhood experience
Chen Guangbiao was born in July 1968 in the southwest of Sihong County, Jiangsu Province. Chen Guangbiao's parents, who depend on farming for a living, have five children. When Chen Guangbiao was four years old, a brother and a sister starved to death one after another because of extreme poverty in his family. This brought Chen Guangbiao's fear memory of hunger. Chen Guangbiao decided to change his fate by himself and must get rid of poverty and become rich. When Chen Guangbiao was 10 years old, he began to explore entrepreneurship and become rich Chen Guangbiao, a primary school student, used two small wooden buckets to fetch water from a 20-30-meter-deep well at noon after school, and then carried it to a market town one kilometer away from home with a small shoulder pole to sell it. At the age of 13, during the summer vacation, Chen Guangbiao began to ride his bicycle for more than ten miles every day to sell popsicles. Later, Chen Guangbiao began to sell grain again. In 1985, Chen Guangbiao was admitted to Nanjing College of traditional Chinese medicine. After graduation, Chen Guangbiao returned to his hometown to start a business.
From September 1985 to June 1990, he studied in Nanjing College of traditional Chinese medicine (now Nanjing University of traditional Chinese Medicine) and obtained a bachelor's degree in medicine.
In 1991, 23-year-old Chen Guangbiao left his hometown and once again embarked on the journey to Nanjing, the provincial capital, to start a business and seek gold.
In 1996, Chen Guangbiao married Zhang Ting.
