Guan Naizhong, a famous Chinese conductor and composer, was born in 1939. He graduated from the composing Department of the Central Conservatory of music. He moved to Hong Kong in 1979 and became the second music director of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra from 1986 to 1990. He moved to Taiwan in 1990 and served as conductor of the Kaohsiung National Orchestra until 1994. He moved to Canada in early 1994.

Early works: Piano Concerto No.1 (1959), Symphony No.1 (1961) and other works after Hong Kong (1986-1990): at first, there were Chinese music "Honghu Capriccio" (1980), "xiyingchun" (1981), "Yunnan customs" (1982), "fengnianji" (1983), "Tianshan love song" (1984), the Third Piano Concerto "hero" and "orchestral" Zhu Zhiduo, a trip to Lhasa (1985), etc.; since March 1986, he has been the second director of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.
