birth
Born in a scholarly family, Zhang Jingxian likes to go to the theater with her parents, brothers and sisters when she is young. When she comes home, she listens to the elders discuss this and that. Over time, there is a lot of yearning for the stage. At that time, however, she was a real Pingtan fan. Up to now, her album still contains a picture of a 10-year-old child, holding a Pipa and singing on the stage. Behind the photo is the proud inscription of her father: "Jingxian stepped on stage at the age of ten.".
Enter Shanghai Opera School
In 1959, 12-year-old Zhang Jingxian, with a yearning for opera actors, entered the entrance examination room of Jingkun class of Shanghai Opera School, but she was unexpectedly defeated in the second examination. After all, she was still young. After losing the election, Zhang Jingxian happily returned to the third primary school on Weihai Road. There was a teacher in the school who liked this little activist very much, so he called xiaojingxian and taught her to sing a piece of "one river wind" of xiaochunxiang in the Kunqu Opera "Peony Pavilion".
That summer, the Jingkun troupe of the opera school was once again enrolled in the newspaper. So, a familiar face came to the examination room, and the examiner was happy when he saw it: this little girl, how can she love singing so much! To their surprise, this girl can sing Kunqu Opera! So this time, the opera school left the girl, and Zhang Jingxian was assigned to the Kunqu Opera class.
For ten years, Zhang Jingxian has been in and out of her mother's and grandmother's revolutionary life all day. People think her old Dan is very good. Even she thinks that as long as she has opera singing, even if she sings Old Dan all her life, she will be satisfied. Therefore, when Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe was founded in 78, Zhang Jingxian returned to the home of Kunqu Opera as an old actress.
Cultural Revolution
A famous Kunqu actor once said, "the greatest desire of a Kunqu actress in his life is to play Du Liniang." So is Zhang Jingxian. But her luck is always bad. When she graduated from class 2 of Kun Opera School in 1966, she was in the midst of the "Cultural Revolution". She had to change her career, get rid of her graceful boudoir temperament, and created several revolutionary grandmothers on the stage. In the 1980s, the Kunqu Opera Troupe recovered, and she returned to her Dan role. In order to regain her gentleness and gentleness, she had to start from the most basic waist and leg skills, and pick up the business that had been abandoned for ten years.
In the early 1980s, the Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe was in full swing, with a large number of talented people, creating a large number of well-known and well received dramas. But the leading role of these plays are mostly big class students, and the graduates of class two seldom have the chance to pick the main beam. Most of the students were frustrated by this unspeakable depression and left Kunqu Opera. Fortunately, she is very stubborn, no play, like everywhere to visit famous teachers, assiduous study. Those famous zazixi, such as "a dream in the garden", "Qin Tiao · stealing poems" and so on, have been practiced by the elder martial sisters for a long time, and each has its own merits. She plays those "cold dramas" that others don't want to sing or dare not sing.
The road of performance
Over the past few years, Zhang Jingxian has not only become more and more perfect in her singing, but also produced many excellent operas, such as "chop e", "Lulin", "Cihu", "Qianli songjingniang" and "nvtan", and has played a major role in "Red Lady", "huazhulei" and "chaitoufeng". Lan Xiang, who played in hairpin Phoenix, won the "performance award" at the first Shanghai Drama Festival.
Edinburgh International Art Festival
In 1987, at the 41st Edinburgh International Art Festival, Shangkun performed the Kunqu Opera blood hand adapted from Shakespeare's Macbeth. Zhang Jingxian played Mrs. Macbeth's tie in the play, which fascinated foreign experts and audiences. "As soon as tie appeared, he used his eyes to control the atmosphere. The audience had already seen the face of a fierce ambitious man..." The press commented afterwards. In the late 1980s, Zhang Jingxian finally got the chance to star in Yang Guifei in the palace of eternal life because she chose elder martial sister Liang to go abroad. From then on, she officially took on the role of female actress in Shanghai Kunju Opera Troupe. However, in the 1990s, the opera market was in a slump. Except for Sima Xiangru in 1994, there was almost no new opera to perform.
The Peony Pavilion
In 2000, Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe was finally going to produce the full version of Peony Pavilion. But as an elder, Zhang Jingxian can only give up her best performance to the younger generation. Her next performance is the fold of four already extinct stages. "With exquisite details and elegant singing style, Du Liniang shows the audience the elegant beauty of Li Niang. She sings very well." Some people praise it like this. The word "cultivation" points out the realm that Zhang Jingxian has been pursuing for decades.
