Early experience
Xiao Fangfang, formerly known as Xiao Liang, was born in Shanghai on March 13, 1947. His ancestral home is Luzhi, Wu County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. His father, Xiao Naizhen, once studied in Germany, and his mother, Cheng Fenghui, worked in painting. Xiao Fangfang moved to Hong Kong with her parents when she was 2 years old, but her father died when she was 3 years old, leaving her and her mother to live together.
Xiao Fangfang, who was a filmmaker when she was young, had no time to receive formal education. Her mother hired several tutors to tutor her culture lessons and learn English. Her mother also asked her to study Peking Opera, ballet and calligraphy with pink chrysanthemum, Wang renman and Fu Lei. She also learned painting, horse riding, archery, sword dancing and Kung Fu.
Acting experience
In 1953, six-year-old Xiao Fangfang performed young master sun gaohaichen in the stage play home.
In 1954, just after Xiao Fangfang's seventh birthday, director Li Hua, a friend of Xiao's mother, invited Xiao Fangfang to play a cameo role in her new play Xiao xinglei, and Xiao Fangfang formally set foot in the film industry. Personal life
Xiao Fangfang once dated Xie Xian in her early years, but because of their different personalities, they fell in love for more than a year. After that, Xiao Fangfang proposed to break up with Xie Xian. According to Xie Xian, this is the first time he was asked to break up by his girlfriend.
In 1970, Xiao Fangfang chose to study mass communication at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, and then went to Graduate School of New York University and Seton Hall University. In 1973, she received a bachelor's degree in mass communication from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, and her graduation thesis "Retrospect and Prospect of Chinese film" obtained A-level results. After graduation, he worked as an assistant director of NBC TV station.
In 1974, she married Taiwanese actor Qin Xianglin. However, soon after their marriage, they found that their personalities and lifestyles were out of place, and the marriage soon ended in divorce.
In 1980, Xiao Fangfang married Zhang Zhengfu and had two daughters. In 1985, Zhang Zhengfu was invited to work in Australian TV station.
