Zang Yuyan is a famous singer of the older generation in China. He was born in Hebei Province in 1923. He was admitted to the Vocal Music Department of Sichuan National Conservatory of music in 1942 and studied under Professor Huang Youkui, a famous singer and music educator. In 1948, Zang Yuyan graduated from Nanjing National Conservatory of music with outstanding achievements, and then taught in the Music Department of Hunan University and Wuhan Huazhong Normal University.
