This data is reviewed by the project of data compilation and application of Science Encyclopedia of science popularization in China.
The East China Sea is the marginal sea surrounded by Chinese mainland and Taiwan, and the Korean Peninsula and Kyushu, Japan and the Ryukyu Islands. The northeast is connected with the sea of Japan through the Strait of Malaysia, and the southwest is connected with the South China Sea through the Taiwan Strait.
The river flows in
Hangzhou Bay is the largest Bay in the East China Sea. The rivers flowing into the East China Sea include the Yangtze River, Qiantang River, Minjiang River and Zhuoshui river. There are more than 40 rivers flowing into the East China Sea, of which the Yangtze River, Qiantang River, Oujiang River and Minjiang River are the main rivers. Therefore, the East China Sea has formed a huge low salinity system, which is rich in nutrients in the coastal waters of China, with a salinity of more than 34 ‰. Because the East China Sea is located in the subtropical zone, the annual average water temperature is 20 ℃ - 24 ℃, and the annual temperature difference is 7 ℃ - 9 ℃.
natural resources
mineral resources
There are abundant petroleum resources on the continental shelf of the East China Sea. Since 1974, China has carried out oil and gas exploration in the East China Sea and discovered many oil fields. In the Xihu Sag of the East China Sea shelf basin, there are Chunxiao, Pinghu, CanXue, Duanqiao, Tianwaitian and other oil and gas fields, covering an area of 22000 square kilometers, equivalent to two thirds of Taiwan Province. The proven natural gas reserves are over 70 billion cubic meters.
stock of fish
The vast continental shelf in the East China Sea has flat seafloor, good water quality and many kinds of water masses, which provide good conditions for breeding, feeding and overwintering for all kinds of fish. It is the main good fishing ground in China, rich in large yellow croaker, small yellow croaker, hairtail, cuttlefish and so on. The fishing ground near Zhoushan Islands is known as the treasure house of Chinese marine fish.
Air Defense Identification Zone
In accordance with the national defense law of the people's Republic of China on March 14, 1997, the Civil Aviation Law of the people's Republic of China on October 30, 1995 and the basic flight rules of the people's Republic of China on July 27, 2001, the government of the people's Republic of China announced the establishment of the East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone.
The specific scope is the airspace between the following six points and China's territorial sea line: 33 degrees 11 minutes north latitude, 121 degrees 47 minutes east longitude, 33 degrees 11 minutes north latitude, 125 degrees 00 minutes east longitude, 31 degrees 00 minutes north latitude, 128 degrees 20 minutes east longitude, 25 degrees 38 minutes north latitude, 125 degrees 00 minutes east longitude, 24 degrees 45 minutes north latitude, 123 degrees 00 minutes east longitude, 26 degrees 44 minutes north latitude, 120 degrees 58 minutes east longitude.
East China Sea
For example, in English, we hope to settle the dispute between the East China Sea and the South China Sea peacefully.
The China Sea is divided into the East China Sea and the South China Sea. Internationally, the East China Sea includes the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea and the (conventional) East China Sea.
Naming rules
Some sea areas in Asia are easily remembered as international geographical indications (not the sovereign name of a country): the sea of Japan, the Korean Strait, the Philippine Sea (with coastal territorial waters of many countries and most of them are international high seas), the South China Sea (not equal to the South China Sea), the Gulf of Thailand, the sea of Myanmar, the bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Oman, and the Persian Gulf (Persia, namely Iran) The Persian Gulf is shared by a group of neighboring countries.
Range
Internationally, the East China Sea includes the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea.
Scope: Bohai Sea of China in the north, to the south of duima island in the Korean Strait in the northeast, to the Taiwan Strait in the south, to the Ryukyu Islands in the southeast, to the sea of Japan in the northeast and to the Philippine Sea in the East.
Sea state
The East China Sea is an important maritime strategic area for China, Japan and South Korea. There are territorial disputes between China and Japan over the Diaoyu Islands and their adjacent waters, as well as the oil and gas fields in the East China Sea, the delimitation of the exclusive economic zone between China and South Korea, and the Suyan reef.
From ancient times to the Yuan Dynasty, China called this sea area the East China Sea. In the Ming Dynasty, this sea was called Daming sea in the complete map of Kunyu. After the yuan and Ming Dynasties, the Chinese mainland gradually became known as the middle land, and this sea area gradually became known as the East China Sea. In modern times, the neighboring countries expressed that China is called the East China Sea, Korea is called the South China Sea, Ryukyu is called the Ryukyu sea, and Japan is called the Samo sea. Modern international media call this sea area the East China Sea.
The Japanese warm current (Kuroshio) migrates to the east of Taiwan and goes northward to the Japanese archipelago. According to investigation and research, there is one branch of the warm current, that is, the Taiwan warm current enters the Taiwan Strait in Bashi Strait and then goes northward to the East China Sea, and another branch, that is, the Yellow Sea warm current enters the north of the East China Sea and affects the Yellow Sea.
Compared with the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea has higher water temperature and salinity, with a tidal range of 6-8 meters and blue water. Because the East China Sea has a subtropical and temperate climate, it is conducive to the reproduction and growth of plankton. It is a good place for all kinds of fish and shrimp to breed and inhabit. It is also the sea area with the highest marine productivity in China.
There are many excellent harbors in the East China Sea. For example, Shanghai port is located at the mouth of Huangpu River in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The channel is deep and wide, the water is abundant, and the river is calm, so it is suitable for large ships to berth. The connecting line between Nan'ao Island in Guangdong Province and oluanbi in the south of Taiwan island is the boundary between the East China Sea and the South China Sea. Bohai, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea are located in the east of Chinese mainland, so they are collectively referred to as the East China Sea.
Island distribution
About 60% of China's islands are distributed in this area, mainly including Taiwan Island, Zhoushan Islands, Penghu Islands and Diaoyu Islands. There are more islands in the Ryukyu Islands on the eastern edge of the East China Sea, mainly Ryukyu Island, miyaku Island, Ishigaki Island, and Naguo island.
