Zhang Qianyi, male, Korean nationality, was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in September 1959, enjoying the special allowance of the State Council. He graduated from the orchestral Department of Shenyang Conservatory of music in 1976, began to work as a composer in 1977, and graduated from the composing Department of Shanghai Conservatory of music in 1984. He is a doctoral student of Shanghai Conservatory of music (Tutor: Professor Yang Liqing). On June 18, 2015, he served as the eighth vice president of China Musicians Association.

Since its debut in the Chinese music world in the early 1980s, it has created a large number of symphony, chamber music, vocal music, opera, dance drama, dance, film, TV series and other works of different genres and themes.

On February 2, 2021, he was elected the ninth vice president of China Musicians Association.
