Art evaluation
Brother Wu Yong is a man who loves calligraphy. From his busy years of calligraphy, we can really feel his persistence! if you like calligraphy, you are destined to be on the road of searching all the time. From the beginning of copying, your heart gradually approaches to the classics, but it is always separated by the pulse that is hard to touch. If you like calligraphy, you are destined to have the patience to keep loneliness, because you have made a lot of efforts, you may not be satisfied with the harvest. Of course, the so-called success and happiness in our common sense obviously have different connotations. I think calligraphers should have a sense of history, because what we often face is thousands of years of calligraphy history, from the vigorous and refreshing oracle bones in Yin Ruins to the solemn and artful Qin and Han Dynasties, from the Wei and Jin demeanor of Wang Youjun to the prosperity of stele learning in Qing Dynasty. Obviously, all calligraphers are in the same way Search, therefore, only looking at the present and the past, search will have value and significance. This exhibition is called "searching for Qin and knowing Han". We can see the thinking of the calligraphers and the main direction and skills of the calligraphers in recent years. I believe it will give us a lot of fresh feelings. In addition, I think two points are very meaningful: on the one hand, only seeking can enrich and create. It can be said that every artist's success is constantly seeking and enriching, accumulating and abandoning. As a well-known young calligrapher, brother Wu Yong is engaged in calligraphy teaching in Colleges and universities. His teaching and learning are mutually beneficial, and he is improving day by day. In recent years, he is still striving to move forward, abandoning his old self, accumulating a lot of experience, and taking the initiative to focus on the Qin and Han Dynasties. It can be said that he has a high foothold, actively explores, steadfastly seeks, and achieves thousands of miles in a single step. On the other hand, the calligraphy nutrition of Qin and Han Dynasties is still our rich treasure, which can be further explored In other words, there are abundant resources of the method, and each tablet has the possibility of activating the calligrapher's creative inspiration. From the perspective of contemporary calligraphy, there are many successful examples that can be used for reference in the great trees of Qin and Han Dynasties. Therefore, brother Wu Yong has visited Qin and Han Dynasties many times in recent years. He has traveled thousands of miles to read thousands of volumes of books. He has done a lot of preparatory work and is committed to the tradition. He has ideas and foresight, I believe We have reason to believe that this exhibition is not only a temporary summary of the past, but also the beginning of a new journey. everyone who really likes calligraphy, in fact, will always be on the road, looking, only constantly looking will be possible, only constantly looking will be really happy. I believe this exhibition brings us a lot of useful thinking. - Chen Kenian (member of Chinese Calligraphers Association)
