"Hua'er" is a word in my heart
On the morning of December 27, 2007, the reporter came to the Conservatory of music of Northwest Normal University and interviewed Mr. Zhang Junren, President of the Conservatory of music. Mr. Zhang has devoted himself to the study of Zhu Zhonglu since 2000, and he is also the last disciple of Mr. Zhu Zhonglu. He once wrote the book "Zhu Zhonglu, the king of flowers: a folk singer in anthropological context" (this is also his doctoral dissertation). He told me what he knew about Mr. Zhu Zhonglu. In his opinion, Zhu Zhonglu was recognized by the masses as the king of "Hua'er" and an outstanding representative of "Hua'er" art in his time.
Zhu Zhonglu was born in Yongan village, Baoan Town, Tongren County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province in 1922. Zhu Zhonglu's grandfather, Zhu Chenglin, was born in the zhujiapo village, dabeiyuan, Hezhou, Gansu Province. He fled to Tongren, Qinghai Province during the war in the Tongzhi period of the late Qing Dynasty, when he was only 13 years old.
Tongren is located on the edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. It is the border area of farming culture and nomadic culture. Since ancient times, it has been a place of multi-ethnic and multi-cultural exchanges. It is also one of the most developed areas of "Hua'er" music.
Mr. Zhang Junren introduced: there are three people who have the greatest influence on Zhu Zhonglu, and the first one is Zhu Duan, Zhu Zhonglu's father. Zhu Duan is not only good at his ancestral craftsmanship, but also a master of singing "Hua'er". Mr. Zhang Junren said: "whenever Zhu Zhonglu's father goes out, he always takes gachengwa (Zhu Zhonglu's nickname) with him, which makes him come into contact with" Hua'er "since he was a child, and makes him have a strong interest in" Hua'er ". The first song Zhu Duan taught Zhu Zhonglu was "go up to a high mountain and look at Pingchuan" by Hezhou Daling
In Yong'an village, there is also a master who sings "Hua'er" and is called "Bai Ge a Ye". This man's surname is Wang. He sings "Hua'er" a lot and sounds good. Many people who study Zhu Zhonglu call him "Wang Bai Ge". There is also a folk artist, blind Buddha. This blind Buddha has traveled all over the world and has a wide range of knowledge. With him, Zhu Zhonglu's vision has been greatly expanded. With these folk artists, his singing level of "Hua'er" improved rapidly. When he was young, he became a famous "Hua'er" in four villages and eight Li. Zhu Zhonglu went to the primary school in the village when he was about 12 years old. A few years later, Zhu Zhonglu was admitted to Tongren County school with the first place in composition. More than a year later, he was admitted to Kunlun middle school in Xining, Qinghai Province. Zhu Zhonglu has laid a solid foundation in this middle school, and also met Wang Luobin, who is a music teacher in the school. In Kunlun middle school, Zhu Zhonglu wrote many poems and sketches, and also filled in some words of "Hua'er".
Mr. Zhang Junren thinks: the reason why Zhu Zhonglu can be called the "flower" king is inseparable from his profound traditional culture, which benefits from his study in Kunlun middle school.
A song is heard all over the world
In September 1949, shortly after the liberation of Xining, Zhu Zhonglu signed up for admission to the third division of the Chinese people's revolutionary University (hereinafter referred to as the third Department of the revolution). This is a fast-growing organization specially set up to train ethnic minority cadres, which is located in the Deng garden. In August 1950, they were about to graduate. At the graduation party, Zhu Zhonglu showed his voice. His singing aroused the interest of musicians such as Guan Heyan and Chen Chuanjing, members of the northwest Literary Association wind gathering group, who attended the graduation party. With their help and guidance, Zhu Zhonglu had a new understanding of the folk art of "Hua'er". Before that, in October 1949, Zhu Zhonglu had been invited to perform live by Gansu people's radio station. This is the first time that "Hua'er" has been transmitted to the outside world by radio waves.
"He is not only a good singer, but also a good writer and researcher. In his life, he published at least 150 papers in various journals. Such Sanqi 'Huaer' artists as Zhu Zhonglu, who have integrated singing, creation and research, are unprecedented in the history of Huaer art. "
In fact, in the following years, he created many "flowers" of the most:
On the national day of 1950, Zhu Zhonglu sang his new edition of Qinghai "Hua'er" (Chairman Mao as my parents) at the "Great Unity Party of all nationalities" held at the xiannongtan in Beijing, bringing "Hua'er" to a formal occasion in Beijing for the first time. In 1952, he sang three songs of "Hua'er" for the film "the sun lights up the red stone ditch", which made Hua'er come to the screen for the first time.
In 1953, as a representative of the northwest region, he sang "Hua'er" into Zhongnanhai, which was received by Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other national leaders. China Record publishing house also released his singing "Hua'er", "go up to a high mountain and look at Pingchuan" and "Ga old man", which were the first records in the history of "Hua'er". After the performance, he taught in the Central Conservatory of music“ "Hua'er" has brought Hua'er into colleges and universities for the first time.
In 1954, he compiled another Anthology of Hua'er, which is the second book related to Hua'er in the history of Chinese publishing.
In the autumn of 1957, Zhu Zhonglu participated in the Seventh World Youth Festival held in Moscow. "Flowers and youth" was praised by foreign friends and won a reputation for the motherland. At the closing ceremony of the 11th Asian Games, the large-scale song and dance of "flowers and youth" appeared in front of hundreds of millions of audiences and won glory for the country.
The last sound of the song
Zhang Junren believes that the reason why Zhu Zhonglu can be called the king of "Hua'er" is closely related to the most important things he has done, as well as his series of sorting out of "Hua'er". With the strong support of Guan Heyan and others, he classified Hezhou Ling, which is the most widely spread, the most varied and the most influential among the "Hua'er".
This classification, according to the music style and so on, has carried on the preliminary type division. At the suggestion of Zhu Zhonglu, the original Changling "go up to a high mountain to see Pingchuan" was named "Hezhou Ling". At the same time, some other tunes were divided into "Hezhou erling" and "Hezhou Sanling". Among the many "Hua'er" tunes adapted and created by Zhu Zhonglu, "lower Sichuan" and "Hua'er and youth" are the most attractive.
Mr. Zhang Junren introduced that "going to Sichuan" was originally a folk song popular in Eastern Gansu and Liupan Mountain Area of Ningxia. In 1953, Zhu Zhonglu collected this folk song from Lixian County of Gansu Province
"Sheep eat grass on the roadside. I sing folk songs. The shopkeeper holds a kitchen knife and wants to kill my lamb."
"This song has completely changed after Mr. Zhu Zhonglu's adaptation. Although the theme of the original melody has formed a common three-stage structure, the lyrics are recreated in the form of Hezhou's" flower "
