Duan Hong, born in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, is an actress, singer, producer and painter in mainland China.

Early experience
Duan Hong was born in an ordinary peasant family in Xinjiang county, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, the hometown of Guan Gong. She loved puju opera in her hometown since childhood. At the age of 12, she was admitted to Shanxi Xinjiang puju troupe and began her opera career.
In 2002, she took part in the folk singer competition held in Shanxi Province and won the prize. Since then, she has attracted more and more attention.
Duan Hong was transferred to Yuncheng puju troupe in 2003. After hard study and training, she made great progress in her major.
Puju opera, also known as Puzhou Bangzi, is one of the oldest Han Folk Opera Arts in China. It flourished in ancient Puzhou (now Yongji, Yuncheng, Shanxi). Shanxi puju's singing is characterized by high pitched and impassioned. Duan Hong is born with a good voice. Since she stepped on the stage of opera at the age of 15, her sweet voice has conquered many opera fans and won praise from opera masters.
