He Peng
He Peng was born in July 1924 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. He graduated from the law department of national Northeast University in 1948 and the graduate class of northeast Renmin University in 1951. At present, he is Professor of Law Department of Law School of Jilin University and doctoral supervisor of criminal law. He is also a consultant of China Criminal Law Research Association, Jilin Law Association, Jilin Bar Association and Jilin Comparative Research Association. He Peng, a famous Chinese criminal law scientist and professor of Law School of Jilin University, died in Changchun, Jilin Province at 6:25 am on April 22, 2016 at the age of 93.

Since 1950, he Peng has devoted himself to the research and teaching of law. He is the first person to systematically study foreign criminal law in China. As a doctoral supervisor of comparative criminal law in China, he has made important contributions to the establishment and improvement of China's foreign criminal law system and the exploration of comparative criminal law research model.
Prof. he Peng is rigorous and diligent in his studies. He has published many monographs and two translated works. Among them, a brief introduction to foreign criminal law and the study of foreign criminal law (Volume II) have aroused wide repercussions in China's legal circles. To a certain extent, the selected foreign criminal law, the special research on Modern Japanese criminal law, and the comparative research on Chinese and foreign criminal reform systems have filled in the gaps in the study of foreign criminal law and comparative criminal law in China. He has a solid foundation in foreign languages. He is not only proficient in Japanese, but also in English and Russian. He is one of the earliest masters and doctoral supervisors of criminal law in China. He has trained 23 masters and 19 doctoral students.
