Yu Qiwei
Yu Qiwei, male, Han nationality, was born in Kaiping, Guangdong Province in 1953. Member of China Musicians Association. In 1972, he majored in Gao Hu in Guangdong People's Academy of Arts. He was a soloist and chief of Guangdong song and dance troupe, Guangzhou Orchestra, Guangdong music and dance theatre and Guangdong song and dance theatre.
Main achievements
He was the third, fourth and fifth vice president of Guangdong Musicians Association. He is now the sixth vice president of Guangdong Musicians Association.
He won the first prize of Gaohu competition in the second "Yangcheng Music Fair"; he won the first prize in the "National Instrumental Solo competition" in 1982; he won the second "Lu Xun Literature and Art Award" in 1986; he won the first prize in the "national Guangdong music Invitational Competition" in 1987; and he won the first China Gold Record Award in 1989. In 1983, he was rated as an advanced worker in Guangdong cultural system.
