Guozhuang dance is a popular folk dance type in Tibetan areas. With the development of Tibetan society and history, it has changed constantly. It not only reflects the working conditions such as beating highland barley, twisting wool, feeding livestock and making wine, but also shows the Tibetan customs and customs, and performs when men get married, women get married, new houses are built and guests are welcomed.
Guozhuang dance can be divided into old Guozhuang dance and new Guozhuang dance. The old Guozhuang dance has the nature of sacrifice. It can only sing special lyrics without any changes. The dance is slow, steady, simple and solemn. Xinguozhuang mostly reflects the activities of agriculture and animal husbandry production, business and trade, and its lyrics and dance movements are relatively flexible. According to the different popular regions, Guozhuang dance can be divided into Ganzi Guozhuang, Manai Guozhuang and other categories. Generally, there is no limit to the number of people in Guozhuang dance, either one or more. Men and women in a circle, face inside the circle, dancing. The dance steps include "Guozhuo" and "kuzhuo", the former is walking dance, the latter is turn dance.
Bailongzhuo dance is popular in Bailong village, Chengwen Town, Chengduo County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, which is known as the "hometown of song and dance". It is said that as early as 900 years ago, bailongzhuo dancers had been invited to perform at King Gesar's wedding. In the long process of development, as a banquet dance or welcome dance in the past, bailongzhuo dance has a high status in Tibetan folk dance.
Bailongzhuo dance not only maintains the unique rough and continuous state of Tibetan dance, but also has a more lively and lively style than other Tibetan dances. The combination of movement and stillness, the fluctuation of movement and stillness, and the sinking of body center of gravity are mainly based on the combination of foot steps and the swing of arms. When moving, the legs mainly exert force, and the upper body is in a follow-up state.
Bailongzhuo dance is an important branch of Guozhuang school, which has been loved and inherited by Tibetan compatriots for more than 900 years. With the changes of the times, a number of old artists gradually aging, one after another died, once a red pole of bailongzhuo dance scenery is no longer, declining. At present, there are only 16 outstanding dancers in Bailong village, the birthplace of Zhuo dance, with an average age of 57.6 years. There are only 30 of the original 80 kinds of dances. Only one of the artists can sing and dance these 30 kinds of dances skillfully, and the rest can only sing and dance with them. The magic bailongzhuo dance is facing the situation of lack of successors and on the verge of extinction, which is in urgent need of rescue and protection.
