Introduction to Mongolian Sihu Music:
Declaration area or unit: qianguoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County, Jilin Province
The Mongolian Sihu is a bowstring musical instrument, which evolved from the Xiqin used by the ancient Kumoxi people. In Qing Dynasty, it was used in court band, which was called "Violin". Mongolian Sihu music is popular in Inner Mongolia, northeast and North China, which has a far-reaching impact on Mongolian and Han folk rap.
The Mongolian Sihu is composed of Qin tube, Qin rod, string shaft, Qin membrane, Qin code, Qin support, Qianjin, Qin bow and Qin string. Wood, fur, horsetail, insect silk thread, pine powder and other materials are mainly used in the production. It used to be used as accompaniment instrument of ancient grassland wandering artists, such as talking and singing Wuliger and haolaibao. Later, it gradually developed into a more perfect national instrument, and its exquisite performance skills became an important part of Mongolian music culture.
Mongolian Sihu is composed of three types: high pitch Sihu, middle pitch Sihu and low pitch Sihu. The high tone of Sihu is bright and crisp, which is mostly used for Solo, ensemble and ensemble; the middle and low tone of Sihu is rich and mellow, which is good at playing lyric music, and is mainly used for accompaniment of Horqin's huliger and Horeb's rap art. The Mongolian Sihu performance technique of guoerlos has its own school, which can produce unique sound such as hoof drum like "playing sound", lark like "buckle sound", clear spring like "dot sound" and wind and rain like "sweeping sound". The representative repertoire includes "Bayin", "pudelema", "Dujie" and so on. Duelbert's Sihu performance technique also has its own characteristics, and the representative repertoire includes Xiangma Zhuan and Hongyan, etc.
Mongolian Sihu music is an outstanding artistic creation of the Mongolian people. It has rich expressive force, simple and melodious melody, and has its own performance skills. It has high research value in history, folklore, art, and the history of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. In recent years, due to the rapid development of society and the influx of foreign culture, Mongolian Sihu music is gradually losing its living space, so it is urgent to protect it.
