Daur means "pioneer". Daur mainly live in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Heilongjiang Province, and a few live in Tacheng city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Daur folk music has many forms, such as folk songs, counterpart songs and dance lyrics. It is characterized by passionate tone, euphemism and variety, distinct rhythm and strict rhythm.

Zaendale is the main form of Daur folk songs, which mainly spread in Nierji Town, tengke town and aera town of Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Zaendale was born in a distant time. According to historical records, people were deeply infected in the face of nature in production and labor at that time. They sang moving tunes to express their emotions, eliminate fatigue and cheer up their spirits, thus forming zaendale.

At present, with the development of society, the social basis for the survival and development of zaendale has changed. People's indifference to the existing folk art has led to the fact that zaendale has no successors and is on the verge of danger. It is urgent to formulate a plan for rescue and protection.
