YUEYE, which means "collective visit" in Dong language, is called "eat homesickness" and "eat local food" by local Han people. It is generally held in the first month and August of the lunar calendar. It is a traditional social activity of Dong people. Road blocking song is a song sung by the Dong people when they welcome and see off guests. It is mostly used in "Moon" occasions. The duration of "YUEYE" is determined by the content, and the number of participants is generally one representative from one family. Led by the people with prestige in the village, they collectively visit a friendly village. When the guests of village a arrive at village B, all the people of village B will meet them at the entrance of the village. Meanwhile, they will set up many roadblocks with daily production tools or daily necessities. The two sides will set up a song array and sing the blocking song to each other. The home team asks questions with songs, the visiting team answers with songs, and removes one roadblock at a time. If the answer is wrong, the visiting team will set off firecrackers to express their apology and respect, and the main team will remove the roadblocks, welcome guests into the village, and participate in a variety of activities, such as Dong opera, Dong song, dragon and lion dance, Lusheng, etc. At the end of the month, the main village gathered a team to see off the guests, and when they arrived at the gate of the village, they sang the song of blocking the way to retain them. Each other's parting shows the solidarity and fraternity among the compatriots.

The moon is also popular in Liping, Congjiang, Rongjiang of Guizhou Province and the vast Dong areas of Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County of Guangxi Province. The custom of "YUEYE" of Dong people is usually held in the slack season after autumn or during the Spring Festival. The month is also a grand event, with men, women, old and young in festival costumes. The village's "Song team", "Lusheng team" and the troupe participate together. During the day, the guests and hosts either perform Dong opera, or play Lusheng, or step on the song hall; at night, they go to the drum tower to sing big songs, or enjoy "gajin" (Dong folk art) until late at night; after that, the young men and women of the two villages also go to the moon hall to sing and sit at night until dawn. On the day when the guests came to the main village, the unique folk activities of Dong people, such as blocking the way to welcome guests, blowing Sheng to welcome guests, inviting "Sa" into the hall, singing and toasting, carrying officials, playing Hualian, were presented at the same time with various cultural displays. The guests and the hosts were so happy that they left on three to five days. When we leave, the main village will give gifts of pigs and sheep. Depending on the harvest, the next year or several years later, this village will visit another village again.

In the custom of Dong People's Moon Festival, group visiting is the platform of activities, cultural display is the content of activities, and emotional exchange is the purpose of activities. From the perspective of culture, YUEYE custom is an important way for Dong people to show and inherit their own culture in a unique form and enhance their cultural identity. It is the most important way of cultural exchange and the soil for Dong culture to survive. Through the monthly activities, the Dong people have enhanced their feelings, strengthened their unity, concluded friendship and built a harmonious society.
