Huian women's dress is a unique dress which is popular in Huian County, Fujian Province. It originated from Baiyue culture, and integrated the essence of the Central Plains culture and marine culture. After more than one thousand years of evolution and inheritance, it stubbornly retained. The overall style of Huian women's dress was shaped in the Tang Dynasty and gradually matured in the Song Dynasty. Obvious changes took place in the early Qing Dynasty, forming the basic characteristics of strange style, unique decoration, coordinated color and gorgeous decoration. At present, the fishermen's women in Chongwu, Xiaohe and Jingfeng along the east coast of Hui'an County and some "inland" women such as Dongling and Shanxia still keep this kind of dress custom, among which Chongwu and Xiaohe are the most distinctive.

Huian local folk song "feudal head, democratic belly, save clothes, waste pants" summarizes the characteristics of all parts of Huian women's clothing. The bamboo hat is the most obvious part of Huian women's modern dress, the main color is pure yellow, very bright. Headband is the most distinctive part of Huian women's clothing. Each headband is square (about 66 cm), and its color and pattern are basically white flowers on a blue background, white flowers on a green background, green flowers on a white background, etc. Although the patterns of each headband are different, they are relatively clear, elegant and eye-catching. Huian women's hair adornment inherited the tradition of ancient Chinese women's attention to jewelry.

The most important feature of clothes is that they are short and navel exposed.
