"Jiangnan medicine king" Hu qingyutang is a medicine shop founded by "Hongding merchant" Hu Xueyan in 1874 (the 13th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty), located in Qinghefang, Hangzhou. From Lin'an (now Hangzhou), the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Qinghefang formed a long corridor of "medicine shops". Among them, Baohetang in the Southern Song Dynasty and Zhu Yangxin ointment drugstore in the Ming Dynasty; Hu Qingyu hall, ye Zhongde hall and Fang Huichun hall in the late Qing Dynasty. Hu qingyutang fully inherited the pharmaceutical technology and industry standard of "Taiping Huimin Heji kufang" formulated by the Southern Song Dynasty. In this sense, Hangzhou is the birthplace of "ancient Chinese medicine Pharmacopoeia", and Hu qingyutang inherits this good tradition.
