Luofushan Baicao oil production technology is a kind of multi-purpose oil with remarkable curative effect, which is based on the special geographical and climatic environment of Lingnan area, collected a variety of local medicinal materials, through distillation, filtration, preparation and other processes. It is guided by the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, originated from Daojia medicine of Luofu Mountain, and characterized by Lingnan medicine. Its product Baicao oil is widely used in Lingnan area and overseas Chinese.

The prescription of herbal oil comes from Ge Hong, a pharmacist of Jin Dynasty. Aiming at the characteristics of dense forest, humid air and miasma in Luofu Mountain, he collected a variety of valuable herbs in Luofu Mountain and refined them into herbal oil to relieve the suffering of the people. Chen Bohui, a Taoist of Huanglong Temple in Luofu Mountain in the Ming Dynasty, sorted out the prescription of herbal oil, processed and finalized it, which has a history of more than 500 years. The prescription and skill of herbal oil were handed down from the Taoist of Luofu Mountain to the early 20th century. In the 1950s and 1960s, ye Guojing, a barefoot doctor, collected and developed the technology of herbal oil, and established a pharmaceutical factory to realize mass production. On the basis of inheriting the traditional method, technicians Chen Xinquan and Liao Zhizhong studied and optimized the key process parameters to continuously develop and improve the production technology of Luofushan herbal oil.

Luofushan Baicao oil is made up of 68 kinds of herbal extracts and 11 kinds of essential oils. It has the effects of dispelling wind and detoxification, detumescence and pain relief, and relieving itching. It is suitable for the treatment of a series of diseases caused by wind toxin, dampness toxin, heat toxin and heat toxin with good safety.

Luofushan Baicao oil is the representative of Lingnan local medicine, which has special technical value, high historical value and cultural value.
