Introduction to processing technology of traditional Chinese medicine:
Applicant: Chinese Academy of traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine processing refers to the traditional method and technology of processing traditional Chinese medicine into decoction pieces under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory according to the requirements of traditional Chinese medicine. In ancient times, it was also known as "processing", "repairing" and "repairing". The processed drugs can not only improve the efficacy and reduce the side effects of drugs, but also facilitate the storage, which is a necessary process for clinical medication of traditional Chinese medicine. For thousands of years, it has not only accumulated rich processing methods and techniques, but also formed a set of traditional processing tools. Processing is the concentrated embodiment and core of traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical technology. The distinctive feature and advantage of traditional Chinese medicine is that "pieces of decoction are used as medicine, raw and cooked are treated differently". Traditional Chinese medicine processing technology is unique to China, is the crystallization of Chinese traditional culture for thousands of years, is the treasure of Chinese culture.
Traditional Chinese medicine processing has a long history. It is said that it originated in the Shennong era, and the processing of traditional Chinese medicine has been described in detail in Shennong materia medica classic of Han Dynasty and Bencao Jing Jizhu of Tao Hongjing of Liang Dynasty. Zhang Zhongjing's treatise on Febrile Diseases in the Eastern Han dynasty recorded the processing of more than 100 kinds of drugs. Lei Gong paozhilun, a treatise on Lei Gong's processing in the southern and Northern Dynasties, recorded the processing methods and techniques of 300 kinds of drugs. The newly revised materia medica of Tang Dynasty is the first national pharmacopoeia in China, which indicates the method of drug processing and is the beginning of the protection of processing technology by the government. In Ming Dynasty, Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica had a special processing method, while Miao Xiyong's processing method summarized 17 kinds of processing methods of traditional Chinese medicine. Zhang Rui's Xiushi guide in Qing dynasty recorded 232 kinds of processing methods in detail.
At present, there are only about 100 people in China who specialize in processing. Traditional Chinese medicine processing technology is in an endangered state of atrophy. As the "modern" medication methods tend to be "routine", the traditional "one prescription one method" medication mode no longer exists, and many special and effective traditional processing techniques are gradually forgotten. There are only a few old pharmacists with unique skills who keep secret of their own processing methods after long-term work. The traditional processing technology is facing the situation of decline or even lost. The relevant departments did not pay enough attention to the inheritance and protection of processing technology, and did not take specific measures in inheritance and protection. Therefore, the processing technology of traditional Chinese medicine needs to be protected.
