Huangzhong silver and copper processing technology has a long history of more than 100 years, it can be divided into silver and copper processing technology. Silver processing technology is known for its thin shape, bright, gentle, pure quality and so on. It is well known for its exquisite processing and is deeply loved by people of all ethnic groups. Influenced by Buddhist culture, artists often use "eight auspicious emblems" (umbrella, goldfish, vase, Shengli building, Falun, auspicious knot, right-handed conch, wonderful Lotus) and mandala, wonderful winged bird, dragon, Phoenix, lion, monster, auspicious cloud, precious flame, etc. as decorative patterns. There are more than 30 processing workshops in the county, including he Shengshou, he man and he Yun.
Bronze processing technology is exquisite, the pattern is complex, the modeling is lifelike, and the technique of expression is outstanding. The main process is: blanking - Welding - smashing - gluing - Composition - polishing. The production mode of Huangzhong silver and bronze ware is mainly family manual workshop, and the son inherits the father's business and passes on from generation to generation. Its representative artists include three-level Craft Artist Circle FAFU and Li zhanbang in Qinghai Province, and there are more than 40 workshops.
Gilding is also a kind of metal processing technology, also known as "gilding", "gilding" and "flowing gold". It is a technology that gold mercury agent, which is composed of gold and mercury, is applied to the surface of silver and copper, and then heated to evaporate mercury, so that gold can firmly adhere to the surface of silver and copper without falling off. Its technological process includes: Shajin, smearing gold, Kaijin and calendering. The Gilding Technology of silver and copper ware is generally a family technology with confidentiality.
