Brief introduction of scissors forging technology (Wang Mazi scissors forging technology)
Applicant: Beijing
In the eighth year of Shunzhi (1651) of the Qing Dynasty, a craftsman surnamed Wang from Shanxi Province was engaged in scissors business in Beijing. Because of his pockmarked face, he was known as "Wang Mazi" and "Wang Mazi scissors". Wang Mazi scissors have been recorded in the book "Jisheng at the age of emperor Jing" published in 1758, which indicates that this hand-made product had become a famous brand at that time.
In 1816, Jutai shop, No.135 xuanwai street, Beijing, put up the signboard of "three generations of Wang Mazi". Later, the knife and scissors industry in Beijing, with Wang Mazi as its trademark, continued to develop. By 1936, there were 70 workshops, and by 1956, there were 68 workshops, with 400 employees. In 1999, Beijing lichangwang Mazi industry and Trade Co., Ltd. was officially established.
Wang Mazi scissors forging technology is unique, including 13 furnace on the process and 13 furnace under the cold working process, forging compound exquisite, unique skills, one of the dip "medicine" technology is unique in the knife and scissors industry. The finished product is thick and natural, with typical northern characteristics, unique structure, powerful cutting, and can be used for multiple purposes. The blade is made of wrought iron and steel. It is extremely sharp, durable, easy to make and repair.
Wang Mazi scissors forging technology is the representative of traditional forging technology, with high technical value. Related products are still necessary tools for people's production and life, and can meet the needs of various professional fields. Wang Mazi's scissors forging skills can be passed on in different ways, not only among teachers and apprentices, but also among relatives and fellow villagers. For example, Guo HengYao set up "tianhexing" in Fenjiang Hutong and took his brother-in-law Duan Chunsheng as an apprentice, which is a typical example of family inheritance. At present, the technical backbones engaged in Wang Mazi scissors forging are retiring one after another, the inheritance of skills is weak, and the crisis is gradually apparent. It is necessary to take specific measures to strengthen the protection.
