Heiyizhuang is an ethnic group with peculiar color in Zhuang nationality. It calls itself "Min", "Zhong" and "Ao". Now there are about 51800 people. They are named after all black clothes. They mainly live in Napo County, Guangxi, which is located on the border of China and Vietnam. Napo Zhuang folk songs are the folk songs they have sung in the past dynasties. In the long history, Heiyi Zhuang still keeps its simple, complete and colorful folk songs, and is known as "rich mine of Guangxi folk music" and "living fossil" of Zhuang folk songs.

According to different tones, Napo Zhuang folk songs with a long history can be divided into six categories, about 160 sets. Representative repertoire includes "although hospitality", "on making", "wine song", "Pan song", "ancestor worship song" and so on. In terms of content, Napo Zhuang folk songs mainly include narrative songs of myths and legends, biographies, environmental changes and historical events; bitter love songs of pouring out suffering and accusing oppression; farming songs reflecting nature and life experience; praise songs of yearning for beautiful scenery; etiquette songs of receiving people and things; custom songs of expressing traditional habits; sacrificial songs of mourning; celebrating the full moon of marriage and the completion of new house Toast song for the old man's birthday. In the long process of development, Napo Zhuang folk songs have formed the characteristics of dependence on folk customs, relatively stable procedure, rich and colorful content and originality. Besides the functions of communication, propaganda, education and entertainment, Napo Zhuang folk songs have historical value, academic value, artistic value and practical value. They are the remains of ancient Zhuang folk culture.

Due to the changes in the cultural space for survival and development, the main ways of inheritance are disappearing, the activity venues are gradually shrinking, and the gap between teachers and students, Heiyi Zhuang ballads are facing a severe inheritance crisis.
