Maigaiti county is located in the southwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a typical Uygur inhabited area. About 89% of the population is Daolang Uygur who is good at singing and dancing.
Daolang maixirefu mainly shows the hunting, happy harvest and happy life of Uygur people in Daolang area, including Daolang Muqam singing, people's self entertainment dance, catering, literature and art performance and various games. According to its nature and function, it can be roughly divided into four types: Festival etiquette and life etiquette, agricultural and animal husbandry production, social activities and other folk activities.
Daolang maixirep has a long history. It is said that it originated from the indigenous culture of western regions and was deeply influenced by Islamic culture. Some experts believe that during the period when Uygur ancestors were engaged in fishing, hunting and animal husbandry, there were songs and dances expressing their lofty aspirations in the wilderness, mountains, grasslands and courtyards. In the process of long-term social and historical development, Daolang Uighur people constantly enrich all kinds of life materials into Daolang maixirep, forming a unique Daolang culture. Daolang maixirefu is mainly spread among Uygur people in Daolang area in the northwest margin of Tarim Basin, with Yarkand River to Tarim River Basin as the center, especially in Maigaiti county.
Due to the endless variety of dance posture, passion, large number of participants, and no time and place restrictions, Daolang maixirefu has become the main way to cultivate Daolang folk artists and cultivate Daolang people's sentiment. It has always maintained the rich original ecological characteristics of Tarim indigenous song and dance, and is an important part of the daily life of Daolang Uighur people.
Daolang maixire Fu is an encyclopedia for studying the history, social life and spiritual outlook of Daolang Uighur people. Exploring, rescuing and protecting Daolang maixire Fu will play a positive role in promoting the construction of spiritual civilization in Xinjiang, enriching people's cultural life, improving people's quality, promoting people's all-round development and building a socialist harmonious society.
