The formation and spread of marine animal stories in Dongtou has a history of at least 200 years. The immigrants of Dongtou archipelago come from southern Fujian and the surrounding counties of Wenzhou. Dongtou is the blend of Minnan culture and Dongou culture. Dongtou fishing ground is the second largest fishing ground in Zhejiang Province. The special historical origin and geographical advantages make the Dongtou marine animal stories come into being and spread.
