Flag is a kind of flag, and its size is different. The main body of the flag is a 9-meter thick bamboo pole. On the top of the pole is a long banner with a width of 0.5 meters and a length of 5.5 meters. The flag is embroidered with auspicious patterns and blessing expressions, so it is also called the flag. Playing and dancing Zhongfan are traditional Chinese acrobatic events, and Beijing Tianqiao Zhongfan performance is the most famous.
Playing the flag originated in the army of Jin Dynasty. The flag is magnificent in shape and clear in title, which is often used in honor guard activities. The flag bearer can show his bravery and wisdom by playing with the flag. Therefore, the Chinese flag used to be a necessary item in the activities of pilgrimage and celebration in the Qing Dynasty. In the meeting, each group has its own flag, competing to practice the unique skills of playing flags, and gradually forming a unique acrobatic program. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, Zhongfan association was under the jurisdiction of the assistant leader of Xianghuang Banner. It was one of the eight groups in Inner Mongolia. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the children of the Eight Banners went to the overpass market to make a living. Among them, Zhongfan and wrestling performed by Shen San (Shen Yousan), Bao San (Bao Shanlin) and Zhang Gouzi (Zhang Wenshan) were the most popular, popular and popular events. In the 1950s, Mr. Bao Shanlin was in charge of playing Zhongfan on Tianqiao. Chen Jinquan, Ma Guibao, Fu Shunlu, Xu Mao and others of the third generation practiced Zhongfan on Tianqiao wrestling ground, attracting a large number of professional and amateur experts from all over the country to exchange skills.
During the performance of the Chinese flag, the artists hold the pole up in their hands and dance a lot of tricks. The performance styles have their own image names. Throw up the pole, catch it with your head, support the ground with one leg, and hold the bamboo pole with one hand. In addition, there are dragon head, tiger tail, marquis seal, Suqin sword, Taigong fishing, qingyizhu and other styles. On the top of the elegant Zhongfan pole, there are one or even several layers of circular ornaments, which are composed of colored glaze, brocade, bells, flags and tassels. They are called Yingluo Baogai. They are not only colorful, but also have a pleasant sound.
Due to historical reasons, from the 1960s to the 1970s, the once popular overpass market was cancelled, various artistic performances were banned, and the Baosan wrestling field was also cancelled. After the reform and opening up, Xuanwu District Culture Committee has carried out a series of cultural activities to excavate, organize and protect the folk customs of Tianqiao with the purpose of promoting Xuannan culture. Under the guidance and support of the District Culture Committee, Fu Wengang, the son of Mr. Fu Shunlu, established "Beijing Fu's Tianqiao Baosan folk culture and Art Troupe", which has inherited a number of unique works of Tianqiao. However, at present, the dancing flag has gradually become unprofessional, and there is a lack of professional artists. In addition, the environment and performance form of Tianqiao acrobatics have changed, so the skill of playing Zhongfan is still in an endangered state, which needs to be further protected.
