Introduction to Sichuan Storytelling:
Applicant: Chongqing quyi Troupe
Sichuan storytelling is a kind of folk art popular in Chongqing and Sichuan Province, which was formed in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty at the latest. The form of performance is one-man talk, supplemented by eye-catching, folding fans and handkerchiefs and other props. According to the performance style, there are so-called "Qingpeng" and "leipeng": Qingpeng pays attention to the language and literary talent, and is good at speaking and acting "documents"; leipeng emphasizes the tone and rhythm, and is good at speaking and acting "Wushu". According to the different origins of the script, there is the difference between "Mo Shu" and "tiaoshu": Mo Shu refers to the programs adapted from novels, such as "Three Kingdoms" and "Water Margin"; tiaoshu is a self created program, such as "Golden Rooster Lotus" and "iron Knight". The performance is fascinating, humorous and full of Bashu cultural characteristics.
Since the end of the 20th century, the inheritance and development of Sichuan storytelling has encountered great difficulties: the number of artists has decreased, the performance has shrunk, and it is on the verge of extinction, which needs urgent protection.
