The legend of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai is one of the four major folklores in China and a treasure of Chinese culture. It is widely loved by the people with its tortuous and moving plot, distinctive character and ingenious story structure. The artistic charm of the legend of Liang Zhu and other artistic forms with the legend of Liang Zhu as the content makes it a wonderful flower in the forest of Chinese folk literature and art.

Since the formation of the Jin Dynasty 1600 years ago, the legend of Liang Zhu has been spread in Ningbo, Shangyu, Hangzhou, Yixing, Jining, Runan and other places, and spread to all regions and nationalities in China. The original oral inheritors have died one after another, and the younger generation is unwilling to continue. The inheritance is facing the danger of dating. It is urgent to rescue and take corresponding protection measures to make this excellent cultural tradition continue.
