Brief introduction of Huadeng Opera (Yuxi Huadeng Opera)
Applicant: Yuxi City, Yunnan Province
Huadeng opera is a kind of opera art form widely popular in Han nationality. Its outstanding feature is that the hand does not leave the fan, the handkerchief, sings and dances, sings and does the close union. Huadeng opera, originated from folk song and dance, is a form of local opera formed in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. In the process of popularity, due to the influence of local dialect, folk songs and customs, different singing and performance styles were formed.
Yunnan lantern opera, originated from Folk Lantern song and dance, is a popular local opera in Yunnan in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. In the process of popularity, different singing and performance styles are formed due to the influence of local voice and folk songs. Yunnan Huadeng opera has three branches: Kunming Huadeng opera, Yuxi Huadeng opera and Yao'an Huadeng opera. Among them, Kunming Huadeng opera retains the most Ming and Qing Xiaoqu and Ming and Qing repertoire, with huqin as the main accompaniment instrument; Yao'an Huadeng folk songs are rich in color, mainly accompanied by dizi and Bangzi; Yuxi Huadeng Opera is the earliest reform, so it is called "Xindeng", and its repertoire and performance form are greatly influenced by Yunnan opera.
At first, Yunnan Huadeng opera performed a little Huadeng opera with a strong element of song and dance. Later, under the influence of Yunnan opera and other major operas, the artists of Huadeng opera absorbed relevant tunes to change, expand and renovate, and created a new tune of Huadeng opera. The newly edited dengdiao adopts the arrangement method of connecting tunes, which has some characteristics of banqiang music and is suitable for performing traditional dramas. In addition, there are various folk tunes in Yunnan Huadeng opera, which play an important role in the whole opera. The performance of Huadeng opera attaches great importance to dance. The basic feature of Yunnan Huadeng dance is "Wai". There is a folk saying that "no Wai, no lamp". "Waibu" has the hand movement coordination, the props in the hand and the fan's "hand flower" and various changes of "fan flower" are its concrete manifestation. The song and dance in Huadeng opera is helpful to set off the plot and enrich the character.
The most prosperous period of Yunnan lantern opera was from the 1950s to the 1960s. At this time, not only a group of famous lantern opera actors such as Shi Baofeng, Xiong Jiechen and Yuan Liuan emerged, but also some famous operas such as Tan Ganmei, Naodu, Liu Chengkan CAI and three visits to relatives appeared. Xiong Jiechen is one of the earliest artists who brought the "Boji lamp" of the rural sun show to the stage. He is good at playing Xiaosheng. He is famous for Liang Shanbo in Shanbo visiting friends and Xu Xian in white snake. His performance has a strong local flavor of Yuxi, Yunnan.
In recent years, Huadeng opera is facing the same dilemma as other traditional operas. The number of theater performances is decreasing day by day, the company is short of funds, the new repertoire is difficult to arrange and perform, and the younger generation of creators and performers are lack of successors. It is urgent to take measures to rescue and protect Huadeng opera, a local characteristic drama.
