Dianshanhu town belongs to Kunshan City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the southeast of Kunshan City, 30 kilometers away from Kunshan City. It is adjacent to Qingpu District (Yingpu street and Xianghuaqiao Street) in the East, Zhujiajiao Town in Qingpu District in the southeast, Dianshan Lake in the southwest, Zhangpu town in the northwest and Qiandeng Town in the north. Dianshanhu town covers a total area of 65.84 square kilometers (2017), with jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages and 5 community neighborhood committees. 62927 (2017).

History of construction

In 879, Huang Chao, the leader of the peasant uprising, built a city in Ducheng village, named Ducheng.

Song Jiading ten years (1217), is the seventh and eighth village of Kunshan county.

In the fifth year of Song Dynasty (1264), sengyou mountain built Fuyan temple in Qili Village.

In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, local autonomy was carried out. In the next year, yangxiangjing township was established, which was subordinate to Kunshan county.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Yang Xiangjing still maintained the establishment of township in Xuantong period.

In 1929, it belonged to the Fourth District of Kunshan county (Qiandeng, Shipu and yangxiangjing).

In 1934, yangxiangjing was changed to the Fifth District.

In February 1947, the new county system was implemented and Yangxiang district was set up.

At the beginning of the thirty eighth year of the Republic of China (1949), it was transferred to the fifth supervision area.

Kunshan was liberated on May 13, 1949, and the Baojia system was abolished in July to establish the people's political power of the township. Yangxiang Township belongs to xidun district.

In January 1950, three townships in Diandong district were divided into nine small townships.

In 1954, Diandong District added four small townships.

In March 1956, Diandong district and xidun district were merged into xidun district. In August, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. The former Diandong district was changed into Yangxiang township.

In October 1958, the government and society were integrated, and Yangxiang township was renamed Diandong people's commune.

In June 1983, the commune was abolished and the township was changed to Diandong township.

In May 1988, the township was removed to build a town, and the village system was implemented under the jurisdiction of the town.

On September 28, 1989, Kunshan county was removed and Kunshan City was built. Diandong town was under the jurisdiction of Kunshan City.

On March 26, 1993, Diandong town was renamed Dianshanhu Town, which still belongs to Kunshan City.

The names of 29 villagers' committees remain the same as those adjusted in 1962, and 88 villages remain unchanged. Among them, the original Yangxiang neighborhood committee increased to three because of the increase of households and the expansion of the town after 1993, that is, the jurisdiction of Dianshan Lake neighborhood committee is bounded by dianxing road in the town, the north of the road is Dianshan Lake neighborhood committee, the south of the road is for the benefit of the people, and the original transportation society is transformed into Shiyanghe neighborhood committee.

Xiaogang Village under the jurisdiction of Yongyi village committee was relocated to Ma'an village due to the construction of Xubao golf course.

In 2014, Dianshanhu town governed 11 administrative villages and 6 community neighborhood committees (Dianshanhu neighborhood committee, Limin neighborhood committee, Shiyanghe neighborhood committee, Yangxiang neighborhood committee, Dianhui neighborhood committee and Dianhu community).

Dianshanhu town is located in the southeast of Kunshan City, 30 kilometers away from Kunshan City. It is adjacent to Qingpu District (Yingpu street and Xianghuaqiao Street) in the East, Zhujiajiao Town in Qingpu District in the southeast, Dianshan Lake in the southwest, Zhangpu town in the northwest and Qiandeng Town in the north. The terrain of Dianshanhu town is irregular square, 8 kilometers in East, West, North and south, with flat terrain and small natural slope.

In Dianshanhu Town, there are 3 soil groups, 5 soil subclasses, 7 soil genera and 13 soil species. Dianshan Lake area is connected with lakes and densely distributed vertically and horizontally. The topography is deeply restricted by water cutting and hydraulic pushing accumulation. The land is mostly in the shape of peninsula. Along the lakeside zone, the terrain is higher, extending from the lakeside to the hinterland, and the terrain gradually decreases. The ground elevation is mostly more than 2 meters (the lakeside zone is about 3 meters). It is the highest area in Kunshan mountain, and the parent materials of soil are lacustrine sediments The main soil is yellow clay, accounting for 98.3% of paddy soil, followed by Wushan soil, Qingzi soil and qingni soil, accounting for only 1.7% of paddy soil.

Dianshanhu town is located in Dianmao area of Taihu Basin in the Yangtze River Delta. It has a north subtropical marine climate with four distinct seasons, abundant sunshine, abundant rainfall, long frost free period, annual average temperature of 15.5 ℃, no cold winter in winter and no heat in summer. However, the advance and retreat of the monsoon in winter and summer are early and late, the intensity changes are different, the interannual differences of precipitation and temperature are large, and the disasters of drought, flood, wind and snow occur from time to time.
