Xinjuntun Town, belonging to Fengrun District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Fengrun District, adjacent to Hancheng town in the East, Chahe town in the southeast, huanxizhuang town in the south, xiaozhanggezhuang town and Fengdengwu town in the west, Fengdengwu town in the north and shigezhuang town in the northeast, with an administrative area of 49.7 square kilometers.
At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to ten districts of Fengrun County; in May 1984, the people's commune was withdrawn and Xinjuntun township was established; in August of the same year, Xinjuntun town was established; in April 1989, hejialiu township was merged; in May 2002, it was changed to Fengrun District of Tangshan city. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in new army town was 38903. As of June 2020, Xinjuntun town has jurisdiction over 33 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Xinjuntun village.
In 2011, the total revenue of Xinjuntun town was 63.68 million yuan, an increase of 13% over the previous year. Among them, the local fiscal revenue was 15.23 million yuan, an increase of 15% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 77 industrial enterprises in Xinjuntun Town, including 15 above scale enterprises and 45 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to ten districts of Fengrun county.
In 1958, it was the new juntun management area of the new juntun people's commune.
In 1961, the new juntun people's commune was established.
In May 1984, the people's commune was withdrawn and the new army garrison town was established; in August of the same year, the new army garrison town was established.
In April 1989, hejialiu township was incorporated into the city.
In May 2002, it was transferred to Fengrun District of Tangshan city.

Hejialiu martyrs cemetery is located in the south of hejialiu village, Xinjuntun Town, Fengrun district. It was founded in 1946. The cemetery was built to commemorate 73 revolutionary martyrs who died in the battle of hejialiu.
