Chefushan Town, located at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong, is the central town in the northwest of Pizhou City, with an area of 98.88 square kilometers (in 2019) and a total population of about 63000 (in 2019). Historical evolution

Chefushan had human activities in the Xia and Shang Dynasties. It is said that Xi Zhongfu of Xue state had built a car in this mountain before he came here. At that time, many people came to study and named it Chebu after Shanjian City, which is the origin of Shanjian city. Chebu mountain is surrounded by water on three sides during the Xia and Shang Dynasties. It is also known as Tiefu mountain because of its strange shape, ridges and gullies, and meandering in all directions. In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to the Yuzhuang society in the second township of Pizhou, Huai'an Prefecture of nanzhili, and still belonged to it in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. During the Xianfeng Period, Liang Fengzhang, a squire surnamed Liang, built a Polder at the eastern foot of the mountain and renamed tiefushan as chefushan. The polder was called chefushan polder at first, and it was designated as chefushan Township in the first year of the Republic of China. At the beginning of liberation, chefushan was once subordinate to Yi county and Lanling County, where two districts and ten districts were located. During the Taierzhuang war, chefushan was the site of the battlefield hospital and the headquarters of the group army.
