Qiliqiao town is located in the northern hinterland of Qiyang City, bordering Qidong County and yangjiaotang town in the East, Panshi town in the south, Xiangjiang River in the west, opposite Guanyintan Town, Wuxi town and xiamadu town in the north. The total area of the town is 82.3 square kilometers (2017), with 1909 hectares of arable land, 40 main villages and 29320 people (2017).

Historical evolution

Qiliqiao town uses the natural name, because the county to the territory of Changshou Pavilion stone bridge Qihua Li, hence the name Qiliqiao. On the eve of liberation, it was called Tongwen Township, located in e-neck stone village. In June 1950, it was divided into districts to build townships under the jurisdiction of the 13th district. Zhushan Bay

In the past, it was named Zhushan Bay because the hills on both sides of the stream were covered with bamboo. The village committee is located in ancestral hall Bay and has 15 villager groups, including zhangshuping, xinwuyuan, laowuyuan, gewuyuan, sanwuyuan, xiebayuan, ancestral hall, youwuling, xiemaocai, sujiayuan, fuxingqiao and wenjiaqiao. Yuantang

Yuantang is named after the round pond in front of the gate of the surname Zhou, and the homonym behind it is Yuantang. Yaotang

Dabao Bridge

It is named after the stone bridge built by the hill of Rubao. The village committee is located in shangmaotang and has jurisdiction over 10 villager groups, including tanghebian, Maotang, chenjiayuan, shitangchong, xinwuyuan, liaojiayuan, laowuyuan and Jiangbian. It has a total area of 1.8 square kilometers, 74.2 hectares of arable land, 264 households and 990 people.

Longevity Pavilion

It was named after the longevity pavilion built in the past. The village committee is located in Changshou Pavilion, which has jurisdiction over seven villager groups, namely Changshou Pavilion, Laowu Yuanzi, shentangchong, tietuping, layetang, dashitang and suanzaoxiang. It has a total area of 1.3 square kilometers, 37.6 hectares of arable land, 187 households and 608 people.

Wushanchong

It was named after the Wushan temple built in the past. The village committee is located in sifangyuan, which has jurisdiction over eight villager groups: tiexitang, maotangwan, sifangyuan, tanjiayuan, shangwangxingtang, xiawangxingtang, majiawan and zengjiayuan. The total area is 2.8 square kilometers, with 59.3 hectares of arable land, 244 households and 907 people.

Gooseneck stone

It's named after the stone in the mouth of liujiachong, which looks like a gooseneck. The village committee is located in e-neck stone, which governs 16 villager groups, including laojiayuan, yangjiayuan, liangtangwan, meiqiling, mingyuetang, e-neck stone, fanshenyuan, Wangjia and Daping. It has a total area of 3.4 square kilometers, 91.5 hectares of arable land, 393 households and 608 people.

Shrimp Bay

Once upon a time, it was named after the abundance of fish, shrimp and crabs in the streams. The village committee is located in xiabiwan and has jurisdiction over 9 villager groups, including panglouyuan, huixiwan, yangjiayuan, shiaoqi, sandongyuan, shazinao and xiabiwan. It has a total area of 1.5 square kilometers, 45.8 hectares of arable land, 225 households and 797 people.

Jinzhushan

There is a stone standing like bamboo beside the bridge at the entrance of the village, which is named after its golden light in the sun. Wujialong

Jielong Bridge

It is said that the auspicious dragon often arrives, and the villagers meet each other with ceremony, so it is named. The village committee is located in xiajie, which has four villager groups: Shangjie, Shangjie, Zhongjie and Xinjie. Longkouyuan

Within the territory of the mountains winding like a dragon, mountain springs from the mountains like Longkou, hence the name.
