Xinhai town

Xinhai town was established in August 2008 with the approval of Shanghai Municipal People's government. Xinhai Town, located in the northwest gate of Chongming, is a traditional important town in the northwest of Chongming. The town covers four state-owned farms of Yuejin, Xinhai, Hongxing and Changzheng, with a total area of 105.04 square kilometers. Historical evolution

The predecessor of Xinhai town in Chongming County of Shanghai is the community management committee of Xinhai District, which is subordinate to Shanghai Guangming Food Group. 1. Niupenggang wetland

Located in the northwest of Xinhai Town, across the river from Haimen, Jiangsu Province. It used to be Niupeng port wharf, but now it is idle.
