Jinhui town
Jinhui town is subordinate to Fengxian District of Shanghai. It is located in the north central part of Fengxian District of Shanghai, bordering Minhang District and Pudong New Area in the north, Fengcheng town of Fengxian District in the East, Qingcun town in the south, and Fengxian Modern Agricultural Park and Nanqiao town across Jinhui port in the West. It is 27 kilometers away from the center of Shanghai in the north, 32 kilometers away from Pudong International Airport in the East and 27 kilometers away from Yangshan deep water port in the southeast. In 2017, the total area of the town was 71.72 square kilometers, with a total resident population of 122811.
Jinhui area has a long history. In the 15th year of King kaolie of Chu (248 BC), it belongs to huangxie fiefdom of Chunshen. It belongs to Haiyan County from 221 B.C. to 502 A.D., Qianjing county from 502 to 589 A.D., and then Changshu, Kunshan and Haiyan counties. Huating county was set up in the tenth year of Tang Tianbao (751), and Jinhui area belongs to Huating county. Nanhui County was established in the fourth year of Yongzheng (1726) of the Qing Dynasty, and it was classified as Fengxian County in the Republic of China. It has always been Fengxian County (District). The seventh batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Jinhui town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
Evolution of organizational system
In the 15th year of King kaolie of Chu Dynasty (248 BC), Jinhui belonged to Huang Xie, the emperor of Chunshen.
It belongs to Haiyan County from 221 B.C. to 502 A.D., Qianjing county from 502 to 589 A.D., and then Changshu, Kunshan and Haiyan counties.
Huating county was set up in the tenth year of Tang Tianbao (751), and Jinhui area belongs to Huating county. Since the establishment of Fengxian County in 1726, it has been a Fengxian County (District).
Jinhui market town, formerly known as Jinhui bridge, got its name from the bridge built by the Jin family. Zhencheng was established in the Southern Song Dynasty.
In Xuantong period of Qing Dynasty, Jinhui area belonged to four townships in the East, and the Township Office was located in Jinhui town.
In 1929, Jinhui belonged to the Sixth District, and the district office was located in Jinhui town.
After liberation in May 1949, Jinhui area belonged to the third district of Fengxian County. Jinhui town was first established in the district government, and then moved to Qixian town.
In 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged to build Jinhui township.
In 1958, "the unity of government and society" was established as Jinhui people's commune.
In 1962, Jinhui people's commune was divided into Jinhui and Qixian people's communes.
In March 1984, the organizational system of Jinhui people's commune was abolished, and the people's Government of Jinhui township was restored. It was deposited in the commune management committee as a single economic management organization. The Management Committee of each brigade was changed into a villagers' committee.
In April 1987, the commune management committee died.
In June 1994, the organizational system of Jinhui township was abolished, and Jinhui town was established to implement the system of town governing village.
In August 2001, Fengxian County was set up as a district, and Jinhui was subordinate to Fengxian District.
In May 2002, Fengxian District implemented the first round of town level administrative division adjustment, abolished the former Qixian and Jinhui towns, and established a new Jinhui town. The town Party committee and government are located in Jinhui town.
In November 2003, Fengxian District implemented the second round of town level administrative division adjustment, abolished the original TAIRI town and Jinhui Town, and established a new Jinhui town. The town Party committee and government are located in Jinhui town.

At the end of 1951, there were five townships in Jinhui area: Yimin Township, Liugang Township, Hebei Township, Jinhui Township and Xiezhi township.
In April 1962, Jinhui people's commune was divided into Qixian and Jinhui people's communes.
In March 1984, Jinhui commune was renamed Jinhui Township, which has jurisdiction over 14 villages.
In June 1994, the organizational system of Jinhui township was abolished, and Jinhui town was established to implement the system of town governing village. Jinhui town governs 14 villages, 146 villager groups and 1 neighborhood committee.
From October 2002 to November 2003, Dingjia, Tujia, Chenjia, Sanchang, Longtan and Qixian villages were transferred to Fengxian Modern Agricultural Park three times.
In April 2004, the seven administrative villages of Guangang, Huanhuan, Xinmin, Yimin, Beixin, Wuzhai, Hongzhuan and the village group west of jinhuigang were transferred to Nanqiao town. So far, Jinhui town has 35 villages, 1 horticultural farm and 3 residents' committees.
In 2005, it has jurisdiction over 35 administrative villages and 3 neighborhood committees. For the convenience of management, in addition to setting up the town government at No. 85, middle street, Jinhui Town, two offices were set up in Qixian and TAIRI respectively. river system
The north of Jinhui lies on the Huangpu River, which is the water network zone in the south of the Yangtze River. There are many rivers and ports in the territory, and all rivers are connected with Jinhui port. The Huangpu River flows 2.9 kilometers through the town, which is the water gate of the town. The water of Huangpu River flows into Jinhui port through the north gate and connects to various rivers of Jinhui. The main rivers connecting Jinhui port from east to West are Xinzha River, Chaoyang River, yaojiabang, xichangbang, Hongwei River, Xiangyang River (Huibei River), Shengli River (Huizhong River) and Angang. There are baimiaogong, Huixi River and Xinjian River in the north-south direction, plus village level rivers such as zhantian River, dongyangjing River, Drainage River, Yangjiagou River, Hengjing River and Jikou river. The rivers in the town are crisscross and orderly, with convenient drainage, irrigation and transportation.

Jinhui is located in the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta. It was formed in ancient times by river water scouring and sea water jacking. The soil is mainly composed of fluvo aquic dry soil and Xiaogang fluvo aquic soil. Its characteristic parent material is ancient river and sea alluvium, which formed for a long time, the groundwater level is low, the phenomenon of leaching and deposition is obvious, and there are often close layers under the plough bottom. It is suitable for planting grain, cotton, oil and other crops.
