Huaxin Town
Huaxin Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Qingpu District in Shanghai, is located in the northwest of Shanghai and the northeast of Qingpu District. It borders Minhang District in the East, Xujing town and Zhaoxiang town in the south, Chonggu town and Baihe Town in the west, and Anting Town in Jiading District in the north. The water and land transportation of Huaxin Town is convenient, with Shanghai Nanjing Expressway, Shanghai Changzhou expressway, Beiqing highway and Jihe highway running across the East and West; Jiasong highway, Huaxu highway and Jiajin highway running through the north and south, respectively connecting with "318" and "312" national highways and connecting with the same Three Kingdoms road. It is 15km away from Hongqiao International Airport and 12km away from xujingdong subway station of Metro Line 2.
In 2012, the total area of the town was 47.6 square kilometers, with 19 villages and 2 communities under its jurisdiction. By the end of November 2014, the total population of Huaxin Town was 184131, of which 36218 were registered residence, and the total number of people coming to Shanghai was 147323. In 2018, the national health county (township) was reconfirmed.
History of construction
Huaxin (formerly known as Huachao) became a land 7000 years ago. from the tenth year of Tang Tianbao (751 AD) to October 1949, except during the Anti Japanese War, the north and south areas of the old Wusong River belonged to two counties (prefectures) for a long time. In 1542, Huaxin has been under the jurisdiction of Huangdu town since Qingpu County was established. On May 14, 1949, after the liberation of Qingpu, the county was under the jurisdiction of the Songjiang Office of the southern Jiangsu administrative office. In September 1952, the administrative regions of southern and Northern Jiangsu merged with Nanjing city to form Jiangsu Province. At the end of the year, the people's Government of Jiangsu Province was established, and the county belongs to Jiangsu Province. In March 1958, the exclusive jurisdiction of Songjiang was abolished, and the county was under the jurisdiction of Suzhou special office. On November 21, 1958, the county was under the jurisdiction of Shanghai. On January 18, 2001, the original Huaxin Town and Fengxi town were abolished and Xinhua new town was established.

At the end of December 1993, Huaxin Town had 13 villages and 1 Community under its jurisdiction. on December 31, 1996, the aquatic village system was abolished, and the raw water production village was brought under the management of Huaxin neighborhood committee. Huaxin Town has 12 villages and 1 neighborhood committee. In 1999, Huaxin Town had 12 administrative villages and 1 community.
