Songjiang Industrial Zone
Songjiang Industrial Zone, established in 1992, is the first suburban development zone approved by Shanghai Municipal People's government. Songjiang Industrial Zone has expanded from the original 2.56 square kilometers to 43.69 square kilometers, including industrial zone phase I (20.56 square kilometers, including 2.98 square kilometers of export processing zone a), Eastern New Area (6.15 square kilometers) and Western science and Technology Park (16.98 square kilometers, including 2.98 square kilometers of export processing zone B). As of 2010, Songjiang Industrial Zone has introduced more than 450 foreign investment projects, with a total investment of US $8.7 billion, a registered capital of US $4 billion, and a foreign investment of US $2.99 billion, involving 39 countries and regions. Economic indicators
In 2008, the total industrial output value of the park was 279.4 billion yuan, the sales revenue was 274 billion yuan, the profit of industrial enterprises was 5.1 billion yuan, and the total tax paid was 3.7 billion yuan. By the end of 2008, the park had attracted 1172 foreign investment projects, with a total contract value of US $6.6 billion.

In the area, water, electricity, communication and other "seven connections and one leveling" infrastructure are complete. The "one-stop" management of Songjiang Industrial Zone and the closed management of Songjiang Export Processing Zone enable the settled enterprises to complete all relevant procedures in the zone. Around the industrial zone, there are hotels, commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, supermarkets and a series of perfect living service facilities. The west to east natural gas pipeline passes through the park, which can provide natural gas.
