Aksalayi Township, belonging to Moyu County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Moyu County, adjacent to jiahanbage Township in the East, Laika Township in Hotan County in the south, Zawa Township and sayibage Township in the west, Manglai Township and kuiya Township in the north, with an administrative area of 43.6 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, 34620 people registered residence in Al-aqsa's township. As of October 2019, Al-aqsa had 26 administrative villages under the town of La Yi, and the town government was in the village of Al watts.

History of construction
Before the founding of the county, it was balamusuming; after the founding of the county, it was upper balamusuming; from the 25th year of the Republic of China to the 33rd year of the Republic of China (1936-1944), it mainly belonged to the first district of Moyu County, and a few belonged to the Sixth District of Moyu County; from the 33rd year of the Republic of China to the 37th year of the Republic of China (1944-1948), it mainly belonged to Yude Township, and a few belonged to Dayou township; from the 37th year of the Republic of China (1948), it was Yude township.
After the founding of new China, it was the Second District of Moyu County, under the jurisdiction of six townships, namely AK, qiunakla, alixibaisi, guluwak, xitaqi and kongbake.
After 1956, the 11th district of Wuzong aidike and the first district of isikla were assigned to the second district.
In 1958, it was called Yuejin commune.
In 1978, it was renamed aksarayi commune.
In 1984, after two administrative areas were set aside, it was rebuilt into aksalayi township.
