Xincheng Town, subordinate to Lintan County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the middle of Lintan County, adjacent to dianzi Township in the East, Liushun Township in the west, taobin Township in the south, Shimen Township and qiagai Township in Zhuoni County in the north. The area is 124.53 square kilometers. In 2018, 23831 people registered residence.
In 1956, Chengguan Township was established, and in 1958, Xincheng commune was renamed. In 1962, koujiaqiao commune was established, and it was renamed Biandu commune in the same year. In 2002, new urban and rural areas were abolished and new towns were established. In June 2020, the new town will have one community and 20 administrative villages.
In 2018, the new town has 6 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In 2011, the new town has 46000 mu of arable land, 2.3 mu per capita, 75000 mu of grassland and 24700 mu of woodland. The main food crops are wheat, highland barley, pea, broad bean and potato. It produces 24800 tons of grain, 164.3kg per capita. The main economic crops are oil crops, vegetables and so on. Vegetable planting area of 3800 mu, 2600 tons, the main varieties are cabbage, green vegetables, leeks and so on.
