Nicheng town
Under the jurisdiction of Pudong New Area, Nicheng town is located between 30 ° 53 ′~ 30 ° 50 ′ N and 121 ° 48 ′ 50 ″~ 121 ° 50 ′ 20 ″ E. Located about 20 kilometers southeast of Huinan Town, Nanhui District, it is adjacent to Luchaogang town and Donghai farm in the East, Hangzhou Bay and Luchaogang farm in the south, Pengzhen town in the west, Shuyuan town and Wanxiang town in the north, with a total area of 61.5 square kilometers.
The town has jurisdiction over 11 villages, 10 residential committees and 1 Xiang Wang community service centers, with 57718 registered residence and 83822 permanent residents.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee reconfirmed Nicheng as a national health township.
Evolution of organizational system
Nicheng town is formed by the long-term alluvial sediment carried by the water of the Yangtze River and Qiantang River. It was reclaimed about 170 years ago. In order to prevent the invasion of the sea tide, it was built with mud dikes like a city, so it is called "Nicheng".
Nicheng is located in the southeast of the original County, at the intersection of tuanlu port and Huangsha port. Nicheng people's government station. During the reign of Daoguang and Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, the poor people in Qidong and Haimen of Jiangsu province came here one after another to build earth dikes for reclamation. The dikes were like a city, forming a backward village, which was named mud city. The settlement is rectangular. The area is about 40 hectares. The population is more than 1500. There are nearly 20 County, town and village run factories and more than 20 shops. In 1930, a peasant uprising broke out here, which was known as the "mud city uprising". Now there is a memorial hall for revolutionary martyrs. The Dani highway passes through the town.
In 1726, when Nanhui County was established, people began to live in the northwest of the Nicheng area.
In 1810 (the 15th year of Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty), Nicheng area was under the jurisdiction of Xiasha salt farm in Nanhui County.
In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, Nanhui County implemented the autonomy of city, town and township, and the establishment of Baotou and Tuan was changed into that of township and town. There was no Township and town in Nicheng area, which was subordinate to Datuan township.
In 1927, Nanhui County was under the jurisdiction of the eighth District of Nanhui County.
In 1929, Nicheng built a township. It belongs to Datuan District of Nanhui County.
In 1934, Nanhui was changed into Baojia system, and the original towns were re divided. There are three townships in the area of Nicheng, namely, Central Township, Beicheng Township and Nancheng Township, which belong to the eighth District of Nanhui County.
In 1945, the Central Township was changed to Nicheng town.
In February of 1946, Nanhui County was redrawn into towns and townships, and Baojia was redrawn. The three townships of Nicheng, Nancheng and Beicheng in the former Nicheng area were divided into urban and rural areas, and their subordinate relationship remained unchanged.
In the spring of 1947, Nanhui County withdrew the district and merged with the township, reorganized Baojia, and the city and countryside were under the jurisdiction of Nanhui County.
In May 1949, Nanhui County was liberated, and Nicheng was subordinate to the sixth Township Joint Office of Nanhui County.
At the beginning of 1950, Nanhui County was redrawn into districts and townships, and the Township Joint Office system was abolished. Nicheng Township, Suqiao Township and Xinglong Township in Nanhui County were all affiliated to Datuan district.
In August 1950, Nanhui County established Nicheng District, which is subordinate to Nanhui County and has jurisdiction over 11 townships. Today's Nicheng town area is the whole of Nicheng Town, most of Suqiao Township and Xinglong Township, and part of huimao, Tangshi and BEIYAO township.
In July 1957, Nanhui County withdrew the districts and merged the townships, abolished the Nicheng District, and established Nicheng Township, which was subordinate to Nanhui County. The former Nicheng township was subordinate to Nicheng township.
In September 1958, the government and society were integrated, and the Dacheng township was changed into the people's commune of Nicheng, and the subordinate relationship remained unchanged.
In February 1984, the organizational system of the people's commune of Nicheng was abolished, and the urban and rural areas of Nicheng were established with the same subordinate relationship.
In July 1994, the system of urban and rural areas was abolished, and the system of town governing village was established.
In July 2001, Nanhui County was removed and built into a district, and Nicheng town was subordinate to Nanhui District.
In June 2002, Nanhui District merged the town, the original system of Nicheng town and Pengzhen town was abolished, and a new Nicheng town was established with the same subordinate relationship.

It is located in the Jinshan Nanhui uplift fold fault bundle of the Shanghai platform fold in the western Zhejiang Southern Anhui platform fold belt of the lower Yangtze paraplatform. The fold basement of the platform is composed of Jinshan Group and Huinan slate. The Dengying Formation is the cover of the place name. The Jurassic is the product of the "activation" stage of the place name. The surface layer is composed of tertiary and Quaternary. According to the analysis of deep hole drilling data combined with geophysical data, the bedrock surface of Nicheng town presents the undulating change of high in the north and low in the south.
The formation of land in Nicheng town is due to the interaction of river and tide in the Yangtze Estuary, which gradually deposits a large amount of sediment carried by the Yangtze River. The whole town is flat with an altitude of 4 meters above the Wusong benchmark. The towns belong to the middle coastal plain area and distribute in the southeast of the early coastal plain area. There are two sand dikes in the East and west of Nicheng town. Xisha passes through Panhong and Liuru to Machang, and Dongsha passes through Donghai and laoganghe to Nicheng corner. They are 100-150 meters wide and about 1 meter thick, all of which are exposed to the surface.

The two villages of Tangjiao and Longgang in Nicheng town are adjacent to wide tidal flats in the East, and the coastline is about 2 kilometers from north to south.
