Historical evolution
Tang Tianbao ten years (751) home Huating County, Changren township is Huating. In 1277, Huating was upgraded to Fu. In 1292, Changren, Gaochang, Beiting, Xinjiang and Haiyu townships in the northeast of Huating were set up in Shanghai county. Now Changren townships in the town area were put under the jurisdiction of Shanghai county until the Qing Dynasty. In 1726, most of Changren township was separated from Shanghai county and established Nanhui County. Zhangjiang was transferred to the 20 Bao and 17 Bao under the rule of Nanhui County. In 1805, the imperial court set up Chuansha Fumin hall in Gaochang township of Shanghai county, Changren township of Nanhui County and the 892 regiment of Xiasha salt farm. However, most of Zhangjiang was still under the jurisdiction of Nanhui County, and only a small part of Sunqiao was under the jurisdiction of Chuansha Fumin hall. from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, Nanhui County implemented the city (town) township system, dividing the whole county into two cities (towns) and 17 townships, and Zhangjiang belonged to Yuanbei city. In 1929, the national government promulgated a new organizational law to adjust the original administrative divisions. Most of Zhangjiang belonged to the seventh district of Nanhui County. Dunren, qinzhen, yinle, Xinxing, Jixian, Shidong, Gutong, Lin'an, Xianlv, Qiuzhi and other townships belonged to the far north of the seventh district. Only the east of hengmiangang was under the Second District of Chuansha county. In twenty-three years (1934), Nanhui county and Chuansha county have adjusted their zoning successively. The Zhangjiang area is transferred to the Fourth District of Nanhui county. Part of the sun bridge area is the first district of Chuansha county. In 1937, the Anti Japanese war broke out and Nanhui and Chuansha were occupied. In 1940, Chuansha county took charge of zhangjiangzha Town, chenshuiguanqiao Township and Hengmian township. In 1942, the Wang puppet regime expanded the jurisdiction of Shanghai and established the special city of Shanghai. Chuansha and Nanhui separated from Jiangsu Province and established the district offices of Chuansha and Nanhui, which were under the jurisdiction of Shanghai special city. Zhangjiang Zha set up the town and established the maintenance Committee under Nanhui County. In 1945, after the overall victory of the Anti Japanese War, the original administrative subordination was restored, and the two counties of suichuansha and Nanhui in Zhangjiang still belonged to Jiangsu Province. In 1946, Nanhui County readjusted its administrative division again. Zhangjiang district (the Fourth District) governed six townships, including Yuanbei, Lide, Yuqiao, Dutai, Huilan and Zhangjiang. In May of the same year, Sanwang Township and Caohe Township in Chuansha county were merged into Sanhe township (Sanzao and Sizao in Sunqiao area are under the jurisdiction of Sanhe township). In 1948, Sanhe township was assigned to Chengxiang town. On October 1, 1949, the people's Republic of China was founded. In November of the same year, Beicai District People's government was established. The district government is located in Bangnan, Qianjia Catholic Church, west gate of Zhangjiang. In 1950, Beicai district was transferred from Nanhui County to Chuansha county. At that time, there were Zhangjiang, yinbang, MaBang, Xinqiao, Sanqiao and Xinli townships in Zhangjiang area (Sanzao and Sizao townships were assigned to Beicai district from Chengxiang town in 1954). In July 1957, Zhangjiang, Sanqiao, Xinqiao, Xinli and MaBang were merged into Zhangjiang, and yinbang, Sanzao and sizhao were merged into yinbang. from September to October 1958, Hongguang and Weixing people's communes were successively established in yinbang Township and Zhangjiang township. In November of the same year, Hongguang, Weixing and Dongfeng people's commune (including Beicai and Huamu) were merged into Zhangjiang people's commune. In December of that year, the State Council adjusted the administrative divisions and assigned seven counties, including Chuansha and Nanhui, which originally belonged to Jiangsu Province, to Shanghai, and then Zhangjiang commune and sun Xiaoqiao commune to Chuansha County of Shanghai. in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the administrative divisions of Zhangjiang region changed many times in a small scale. Some of them were divided into Chengxiang Town, one belonged to Tang Town, and the other three bridges, stars, citizens and brick bridges were transferred to Jinqiao. In April 1984, when the government and society were set up separately and the Township People's government was re established, Zhangjiang Township and sunxiaoqiao Township governed 12 and 13 administrative villages respectively. On January 1, 1993, Chuansha county was withdrawn and Pudong New Area was established. The two townships were then under the jurisdiction of Pudong New Area. On May 5 of the same year, sunxiaoqiao township was renamed Sunqiao township. In December 1995, the township was withdrawn to build a town, and the two townships of Zhangjiang and Sunqiao were changed into Zhangjiang Town and Sunqiao town at the same time. In November 2001, Zhangjiang and Sunqiao "removed two and built one" and established a new Zhangjiang Town.
