Huajing town
Huajing town (formerly known as Longhua township) belongs to Xuhui District of Shanghai and is located in the middle of Shanghai. It borders Huangpu River in the East and faces Sanlin Town of Pudong New Area across the river; it borders laohumin road in the west, Guangang village in the South and Meilong town of Minhang District in the South; and it reaches Dianpu River in the north.
As of 2010, Huajing town had 12 communities and 2 villages, with a total number of 77125 registered persons, 68632 people living, 31363 registered residence, 9055 registered residence population, 29021 migrant population and 285 foreigners. The town covers an area of 8.04 square kilometers.
In 2014, Huajing town achieved a regional added value of 3.8 billion yuan, a district level fiscal revenue of 600 million yuan, sales of commercial services of 17.8 billion yuan and warehousing revenue of 560 million yuan.
History of construction
The Yuan Dynasty belonged to Huating county. In 1292, Huating county was divided into five townships: Changren, Gaochang, Beiting, Xinjiang and Haiyu. The former Longhua township is under the jurisdiction of Huating, two counties in Shanghai, and Lingbao, Gaochang Township, Shanghai county. It is composed of 20 Baoshi bing13 (Longhua town), 14 (Caohejing East Town), 11 bing27 (zhangjiatang, Huangpo Temple), 28 and 29 (Ningguo Temple), 21 bing31 (Huajing town), 18 bao29 and 31 (Guangang town) of Changren township, Fifty one map of No.3 District of No.30 Bao, Huating Township, Huating county (Changqiao Town, etc.). According to Hongzhi Shanghai county annals of Ming Dynasty, there are longhuapu and huajingpu in the county map of Shanghai. "Huajingpu is located at the south end of Wunijing city. Later, Wunijing city was burned by Japanese pirates. In the early Qing Dynasty, it gathered in Huajing city and named Huajing town after Hong Kong," the local chronicle said. In 1928, Shanghai city and Shanghai county coexisted. The former Longhua township was divided into three areas: Huating county (later changed to Songjiang County) in the south of Changqiao port, Shanghai county in Huajing and Guangang, and Shanghai City in the north of Changqiao port. In 1940, the former Longhua township was divided into Zhuhang District, the Fifth District and Huxi District of Shanghai Municipality. In 1944, Beiqiao special district was renamed Shenjiang county. In the south of the former Longhua Township, it was renamed the Second District of Shanghai county (later caoxing township), which was under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province; in the north, it was renamed the 26th district (later Longhua District), which was under the jurisdiction of Huxi District of Shanghai. Some areas of Zhuxing Township in Songjiang County are under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Municipality and belong to Longhua District.
In November 1949, caoxing Township in the South was divided into Huajing Township and Guangang Township, which were subordinate to Shanghai county; in the north, it was taken over by Longcao office, the agency of Shanghai military control commission. In 1951, the land reform ended, and the former Longhua township was subordinate to Longhua District and Shanghai county. In August 1958, Shanghai county of Jiangsu Province was designated as Shanghai City, and the former Longhua township was subordinate to Shanghai county of Shanghai city. In July 1992, Longhua township of Shanghai county was incorporated into Xuhui District. In May 1998, with the approval of Shanghai Municipal People's government, the organizational system of Longhua township was abolished and the people's Government of Huajing town was established.

Huajing town belongs to the type of accumulation landform. It is an alluvial plain formed by the interaction of river and tide in the Yangtze River Estuary, with the coastal plain as the main body. On the whole, it is gradually advancing from west to East. The terrain is low and flat with little fluctuation. The average elevation of the ground is 4.1 meters.
climate
Huajing region belongs to the north subtropical monsoon climate, affected by the alternation of winter and summer, with four distinct seasons, longer winter and summer, and shorter spring and autumn. The annual average temperature is 15.7 ℃, the precipitation is 1114 mm, and the sunshine is 2047 hours. In normal weather, southeast wind prevails throughout the year, with wind direction frequency of 10%, and northwest wind is the least, with wind direction frequency of 3%. In spring, there are southeast wind, southwest wind in summer, northeast wind in autumn and northwest wind in winter. The east to southeast wind is the most from March to September, and the west to northwest wind is the most from October to February.

Huajing town is located in the east of Gangshen area in Shanghai. The soil is mainly alluvial parent material, light in texture, loose in soil, less in sediment, and mostly yellow fluvo aquic soil. According to the results of soil survey and evaluation, soil ratio and physicochemical properties determined by Longhua commune in 1981, there are six soil genera according to the source of parent material. That is: the ancient river and sea alluvial gully dry soil, the river and sea alluvial yellow mud head soil, the river and sea alluvial tidal sand soil, the ancient river and sea alluvial gully dry soil, the river and sea alluvial tidal soil, the recent man-made stack blown soil.
hydrology
Huangpu River flows into the urban area from south to North on the east side of Huajing Town, and Guangang, xinchunshengang, Huajing port, Dianpu River, zhangjiatang port, Longhua port and other rivers flow into Huangpu from the East. After the 1970s, Longhua commune organized the excavation of Sanyou River, Zhongxin River, Beiyang River and other rivers in order to facilitate farmland irrigation and drought and waterlogging relief; each production brigade excavated more than 10 drainage rivers. By the end of 2006, there were 19 rivers in Huajing Town, with a total water area of 74.46 square kilometers.

In 1984, 13 villages in Longhua Township had 10532 mu of arable land and 8904 agricultural labor force, among which 2319 were engaged in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and sideline fishing. The main crops are grain, vegetables, rape and cotton. It is one of the vegetable townships in the suburbs of Shanghai. In 1996, only 1996 mu of cultivated land was left in the township. 135 people are engaged in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline and fishery.
